Steve McQueen is a great newcomer filmmaker and he also really needs to work with Lenny Henry, Idris Elba, Estelle, Thandiwe Newton, Seal and John Boyega in the near future.

Talented guy but his flaws are much more apparent without the very underrated Sean Bobbit. A lot of the magic of those earlier films of McQueen was due to Sean Bobbit's involvement. Small Axe and his new film highlights this.

Is it like how the young Orson Wells had Gregg Tolan as his cinematographer for Citizen Kane? Or Tarontino with Roger Avary as his co-writer and Sally Menke as his editor for Pulp Fiction?
@jackbarron88802 ай бұрын
@@mrlondon1278 More like when Nolan lost Wally Pfister as cinematographer. Something became 'off' about his films after that (with the exception of Interstellar). McQueen relied heavily on Bobbit but it's the director who gets most of the credit.

Small Axe is right up there with his other work. I loved the whole series
