One Summer day in 1969 or 1970, The Steve Miller Blues Band was getting ready to play the first concert song. I heard the drummer wonder aloud if the audience "would be offended" at the song. Introduced as "Your Old Lady," I found it on LP as "Living In The U.S.A.," which wasn't offensive at all.;)

By far his best song IMHO. Video showing video clips of the mobile-freedom culture and related movie clips. Many of that generation were convinced that we were living in a “plastic” land, as opposed to most of the rest of the world in poverty and class separated societies. What decries in the song was the culture that allowed more freedom and prosperity than any other.

That teal 68 galaxy 500 was just like the one i had. My brother totaled it going 120 mph. Surviving the accident was the least of his worries. The car had 42,000 original miles and was mint. 390 cid auto. I loved that car.
