Even though The Steve Miller Band is super popular I still think they are under appreciated. I consider them one of the greatest bands of all time and they should be mentioned in the same breath as The Beatles and Led Zeppelin.

I've asked a lot of people if they've ever heard SMB's Italian X Rays album. Haven't had anyone yet say they even knew it existed!! WTF? It's a phenomenal album! I think you are correct! Very under appreciated. Not only did they release some legendary songs and albums, but they are second to none live on stage! They also have transcended genres. They have done rock, blues, jazz, folk, country, funk rockabilly, and electronic, and a lot of times blended genres. So tight and right in the pocket all the time! Steve Miller is a f###ing genius and legend in my opinion! ❤👍✌️🤘

I agree with you, Steve Miller is under appreciated, but far from being in a league of The Beatles or even Led Zeppelin for that matter. On a grading scale I would give him a B+, possibly an A-.......Beatles were A+. Zeppelin A.......Miller was/is a trip to see live, and possesses on hell of a background in music.

Hi, I'm also a Steve Miller admirer. But I don't think I agree that he is under appreciated; quite the reverse. It's not the Hall of Fame that passed him over for so many years. He has the respect and genuine liking of his peers, and is loved the world over. His concerts sell out. But we agree, that he has a helluva background! Les Paul's mentorship, for example.
