Steve's 401 mph D130

Steven Welsh goes 401 at Weldon with his Dynamic 130 "Green Machine" DS glider, and joins the 400 mph speed club with Bruce operating the radar gun. Very impressive airframe and piloting.The model is a world class DS glider designed by Joe Manor and weighs 688 ounces (19.5 Kg) ready-to-fly with aluminum wing joiners.

WOW, that was insanely fast! It can't be that far off from the world record, can it? What was the airplane powered by, an electric motor or a small turbine engine? And how did you manage to get in within the radar gun's sights, seeing as it flew so insanely fast?
