Nope. This is called Dynamic Soaring (DS'ing). They are stealing energy from the wind above the hill and then dropping into the calm air to come back up the hill without a headwind to steal more energy. Albatross' do this in the wild also.

@@Rickrg95 similar to a boat sailing upwind. They aren’t being pushed directly with the wind but almost perpendicular. It is trigonometry that I am not good at explaining over KZbin comment 😂
