Steve Smith and Vital Information - I Love You - 1992

From a concert in Bratislava, Slovakia, this rare video features a Vital Information trio performance with Tom Coster on keyboards and Jeff Andrews on bass. Jeff Andrews and Steve Smith had recently left the group Steps Ahead to focus on recording and touring with Vital Information. There are not many Jeff Andrews virtuosic, bebop-inspired solos on film, and this is great documentation of his unique gifts. Tom Coster, Jeff and Steve had a telepathic connection and it’s apparent in their version of “I Love You.”
