Smith Sr. on the Pats with Jules, Gronk, and Tom would've been a personality overload. That would be a lot of character on the field during offensive drives. Based on the timeline and stats, they are referring to the 2013 NFL season. Steve Smith Sr had a down year with the Panthers and Julian Edelman had a breakout year. All due to what he said in the interview. Too bad the trade didn’t go through because Pats needed Smith that year because they really didn’t have much at WR position. Looking at it more if Pats had Smith then Edelman might have never been what he was. So never know what it could have been. However during that 2014 offseason, Pats could have signed both Edelman and Smith. But I guess they instead did a pick one over the other thing. Dont know why because they had money. I guess it was the upper management who didn’t do a good job of that. No shock or surprised considering since it is them. Lol 😆 Overall kinda glad Steve Smith Sr. Didn’t go to the Pats because his personality is too good to be kept down. Lol 😆
