@Mitch exactly, he could have been where Jay-Z did, but Dame felt that Jay was selling out, but he wasn't going to do the same! Look where it got Dame, no where! All of the artists on the Roc-a-Fella team, who didn't speak out negatively AGAINST Jay-Z they live comfortably, Jay paid their debts, put them to work as executives in his businesses & ventures! Like Jay said Tay stays at my house more than I be there, more than B. there! When his mom died I was there, when my nephew died he was there! He don't rap, produce, none of that. He is a LOYAL Friend/Brother to S. Carter & the carter household & businesses!! Jay took him with him from the street to being a millionaire(but nowhere near a $BILLY, that Jay-Z net worth is at(I think he is the only street pharmacist that came up like he did to be a L7 & 20 years later he is worth what he is worth and left the game in his rearview and never looked back, stayed LOYAL to the ppl that stayed LOYAL to him! DAME DASH YOU CAN BE THE BIGGEST ASSHOLE IN THE WORLD, YOU BROKE COMPARED TO RICH PEOPLE STANDARDS & WHERE YOUR COMMAS WAS AT! BUT, YOU WAS A EP ON THE ALBUM, "CAN'T KNOCK THE HUSTLE", SO YOU CAN'T KNOCK THAT MAN'S HUSTLE! DAME GET IN WHERE YOU FIT IN & STOP BLAMING PPL FOR YOUR FINANCIAL TROUBLES OR BOOGIE ADDICTION(WHEN YOU BLAMED PEPA FOR HIS DOWNWARD SPIRAL CAUSE HE TOOK A SHOT OF LIQUOR AT HER PARTY(SHE DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING)! GROWN UPS DON'T BLAME PPL FOR THEIR PROBLEMS, THEY HANDLE IT, THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE! JAY WANTED TO TAKE YOU ON THE WAVE WITH HIM BUT DIDN'T CAUSE OF YOUR OWN SELF EGO, SO YOU GET LEFT BEHIND!!!!
@terriblehill754 жыл бұрын
Compare to Jay z he is
@oranseay25594 жыл бұрын
@Terry Hill, he is a peasant compared to Jay & rich ppl standards. He is living off royalties from the Roc-a-Fella team, whenever the artist albums are downloaded, streamed & for ppl that order the physical copy of those albums. Also, from the couple of movies that Roc-a-Fella films made at the time. You see that Jay brought out Dame & Kareem, so only Jay can use any part of the Roc-a-Fella name(i.e...Roc Nation & other names)! You can always tell when an artist is in need of cash, they do Reality TV(Damon Dash on a show GUHH on WE! The show is for the children, but Dame makes sure that he is in every episode, to get that bag! Dame FUCKED UP, by giving Cam'Ron $10 million, made him a VP of the label w/o the other CEO(JAY-Z), ok about it! That's when they fell out & Jim Jones was the only Dip-Set major artist that Jay-Z wouldn't give a deal to! Atleast is wasn't like "RAPING YOU RECORDS CEO)! The artist all have their masters! Dame FUCKED the label & G-CODE of the STREETS(they were street niggas before anything else.

team work makes the dream work. Oh its bad, 1 in 10 asians own a business, 1 in 34 whites, 1 in 54 hispanics and 1 in 108 BLACKS own a business. the key is people hire folks who look like them and that are referred to them.

Homie, you have to realize, its part being in the right place at the right time, especially for Black Man. Steve, "JUST SO HAPPENED" to be in the right place to manage NAS with dropping his sophomore album "It Was Written" which turned out TO BE A CLASSIC and sold 4 Million plus copies. If he had never done that, trust me, he would not have been president of those companies at no age. Even his marketing success has to do with his connections to artist. Just cuz you have knowledge doesnt mean you have the means; you need the knowledge and you need to be in a position to make the change. Some black people are in that position; but dont have knowledge to progress and some black people has the knowledge but not in the position to change anything.
