I like to put Vai on a pedestal as high as Mozart/Beethoven, but even comparable to Michelangelo the master artist. One thing you can learn from these human gods is it's not possible to use your mind so much that you will die from overthinking. Michelangelo lived to be 88 and during those last years he was designing St. Peter's Basilica dome. Da Vinci lived to be 60 something, and he was the end-all of what a human being could be. I also love Vai's hunger for wild-intense music even in old age.

I hate the guitar design very much it was some crappy photo shopped remix of a fractal wall paper. I hate this guitar because the contest was for most original & interesting idea, which this guitar design completely fails at if your honest with yourself. I saw many other designs that were by far more interesting & original than some stupid haphazard wallpaper remix graphic version.
