It's very interesting to see that each guitarist has his own style of playing, even if it's the same song. A show like this is definitely unforgettable.

Satriani's improvisation was the show stealer here. Amazing note choice and inventive melodic ideas. Gilbert and Vai are persistently great also. I was surprised at how uncomfortable Henson and co looked improvising. I guess it's just not his thing.
@straightshooter86104 ай бұрын
This reminds me of everything else today. Short cuts. The guitar players up there that didn't have that old school way of learning where you had to work for it stood out here. Ya they can spend days on one song or technique and be really impressive but improving not a chance. They Tim guy was better when he was younger and played everything now he's specialized and forgotten how to just play

This show demonstrates the massive difference between old school and new breed. The old school had to learn most stuff by ear, they cut their teeth that way and that ear training gave them a good grounding in impro. The new breed has none of that. They are out at sea in a live situation. I kinda feel sorry for them.

Steve in the first song is sounding way too much like Joe, but i don't know what it is, sounds like he is soloing in a different key, just in some sections of the track, (speaking about the first song in the video) is weird.

Improvisation and feel are the metrics you measure musicians by. Those aren’t the only things that determine if you’re a good musician. 0 technique. Have you seen their live shows? I’d like you to attempt to play the shit they do. Do something better with your time than hating on young men making music in their way. You’re acting like they’re self proclaimed jazz musicians.
