Great video and playing. My favourite Val solo is at the end of Ease by PIL. There is an incredible ascending run at around the 6m10s mark of the song. Believe me, I would absolutely love to see that.

CAMERON, Thanks for making this video lesson, there are more steve Vai "finger Swapping" licks in his David Lee Roth Album licks to look into more to make another video lesson. He uses finger swapping techniques in his scalar licks. Try to make Jason Becker arpeggio licks and scalar licks video

Yeah Buddy Steve Via, I am totally serious when I say you are the best guitar teacher I’ve seen,.. I’ve always been able to see what people are doing and all , but they don’t take the care and time, running through it slowly ,..piece by piece and you are better at explaining the entire process ,… you don’t just play it slow once then speed it up a million miles an hour showing off,.. thanks for your time & Videos.

Not a fan of Vai... too wheedly wheedly, too much whammy madness, not enough aggression in either the playing or the tone. Which is not to take anything away from the fact that you play his licks perfectly and that's impressive!
