She had everything! Looks, charisma, great sense of humor, captivating and very articulate. When she spoke, ppl would hang on to her every word. Her mother said her father, John Houston was the same way.

It's so fascinating to see still girlish and bright-eyed Whitney talking about future projects of years to come. By the time these projects had come to fruition, she was literally a different person - I'm thinking of the interviews she did in 1996 for The Preacher's Wife in particular, but even her appearences in 1993, post Bodyguard and post pregnancy, were of a very different woman. So lived her whole life in fast forward mode. Her star ascended so very rapidly, but perhaps that's what burned her out in the end. R.I.P Nippy, the greatest voice of all.

These old Whitney interviews are gold. I love her speaking voice here.

This interview is kind of wild. Talking about The Bodyguard so casually, before it was even made and became one of the biggest phenomenons in music, talking about eventually doing a gospel album, which she did with The Preacher’s Wife soundtrack….fascinating moment in time.

I love this woman so much 😂 was watching how chilled and funny and down to earth she was and then had to laugh out loud when she said "What really pisses me off?" Hahahah

RIP to in my opinion (tho I believe it's really an obvious/evident fact) the world's all time greatest singer/vocalist that had ever lived. Couple that with model looks/beauty that girl was indeed special no doubt. She will NEVER be forgotten and these clips and videos not taken for granted. RIP baby 🙏❤️

@5:42 Whitney was pissed off at someone in particular. “They need to get a life” is dripping with disdain. I wish the haters didn’t bother her so much. They couldn’t do 1/10th of what she did.

Even though what i said about being stoned ,she's sill one of my favorite singers from the 80's. I Stil love her music whenever a Whitney song plays on the Radio i would singalong and my kids would look at me as if........

During this time she had a tour in japan to do, she actually had a damaged vocal cord, but do to the tour obligations, she had to complete this tour…. She was there a couple of nights in japan…. You can actually hear her vocal problems in the 1991 tour, this was her very first major vocal problem

Right! Do you remember when it was announced about her major vocal surgery? Are there any interviews on that?

I cringe at the interviews celebs used to have to do. Asking uncomfortable questions and questions that is no one’s business and you just have to sit there and act like you’re enjoying it but I’m sure that would rather be doing something else.
