I am from Sweden, and my mother works as a paramedic and was stationed at military bases a few times several years ago, and she was sometimes given unused rations, and then gave them to me. FRHs are insufficient if you are in the Arctic, so boiling the rations to heat them is usually done. You need a fire source for colder months anyways. Though that dont mean stuff always gets cooked all the way trough. Vivid memories of eating fish in Tomato sauce with half-cooked rice in -25 degree weather. Good times. We still use FRHs but it's mostly specialist roles.

That first spoonful of the main, that was TV commercial quality closeup work. I also love that he reviewed the disinfectant wipe.

It's definitely a toss-up between Steve and Atomic Shrimp.

Our family regularly says " let's get it onto a tray' , and we have all lived on a French 24 hr ration for a day thanks to watching this channel.

I love how positive Steve is. "Nice color!" is what he says after opening a pack of gum that had the same color of the vomit my dog produced on my living room carpet this morning after eating grass in the backyard. Thank you for the great videos!

The Mexican casserole having a sweet tomato sauce is in line with the other Mexican food I’ve had in Stockholm, sweet tomatoey mayonnaise is usually on offer.

thats so awesoome you added the peanuts to it. I was looking at the tray spread as you were eating the curry and I was thinking what it would be like if you added the peanuts to it as I often see you mix and match your foods then you did and said it paired nicely and with the fruit chews. always a pleasure to watch these vids!

Ever since I moved to Sweden I was thinking it would be so nice if Steven got his hands on a swedish MRE... THIS DAY IS FINALLY HERE!!!
@Dixxi11 ай бұрын
It's not the first Swedish one he's done.
@LuizaHS198811 ай бұрын
Oh, then it's been a long time since the first one because I can't remember it. Maybe it hadn't caught my attention because I've moved here recently. I definitely remember when my home country was featured, though. Ill rewatch the older episode just to refresh my memory. Thanks!

You guys!!!! Steve!!! Listen to this!!There is a nod to you in an episode of The Walking Dead! Im watching it right now and came here as soon as I saw it. S10e21 around 26:17 Daryl holds a US mre and says "nice" and nothing else. I truly believe it was intentional. Anybody else aware of this, am I late to the party?
@DesertStateInEU9 ай бұрын
He could've said that for any reason, mainly because finding good food is getting harder and hes happy he found an MRE.
@ziggybarth50269 ай бұрын
@@DesertStateInEU but the "NICE" he could have just loaded the mre in the bag and not said anything
