Thanks very much Ken, this session was from about 6am - 9.30am. In my opinion the best place for variety on the WCML north of Crewe... the perfect place for your next jolly down to this neck of the woods ;)

steve71p yes better than bank quay for freight as it gets the liverpool to crewe traffic as well

The Skip runs round at Northwich so it comes down the WCML from Arpley then back up diverting for Liverpool then branching off at Runcorn. Well spotted with the tail lamp... I hadn't noticed that!! Cheers, Steve.

That's the best thing about Acton Bridge, you get traffic from both Scotland and Liverpool. A good variety of motive power too.

Thanks mate, watch out though as the lights go off from 1am - 5am ish. Cheers, Steve.

What was that Skip doing shuttling back & forth with those same two containers? Novel way of hanging the tail lamp too. Shot worked out well with the 350 & the 90 @ 4:00. Those vans & 4x4s do look rather close to the wires, though, don't they. And a nice meeting @ 10:00.

Excellent vid Steve, well done! Skilful panning action and a gift for avoiding bowlage - what more can we ask?! Although the platforms are very narrow and clips can look a bit samey, this is more than made up by the sheer variety and quantity of locos! You must have been there pretty early on in the morning. Liked and faved. Ken

The perceived ugliness of the Class 70 is part of the attraction for me. They are absolute powerhouses and my favourite modern day locomotive.

steve71p I prefer the 68s but much rather a 70 than a Fred (66)

Tell you what though, those 70s look horrible but seem to perform well. Wonder if they'll live as long as the 47s and 37s.
@grannyjone7 жыл бұрын
Paul O'Gorman they will be around for 50 years I think and while they may be ugly I prefer them over a 66 because a 66 is relatively boring
