Edgun Leshiy 2 [review]

In this video I review the much anticipated Edgun Leshiy 2. I ordered mine from Spain and have been testing it out for a few weeks. Here are my thoughts. Please note that other regions may restrict the power differently and get different results in terms of shot count.

No denying it is a lovely looking gun and well engineers. Accuracy is an issue which I would say my years of shooting that is down to muzzle flip also no it's not always about the £2,000 that people can afford it down two can you justify how good the product is really for the money. You can buy a gamo PCP for £350 which is more accurate so it's not down to the money it down to justifying to what the product can do for the money

Over 2k in Europe (!) I´ve held one in my hands, it's cool, but certainly not 2k cool.... to say nothing of the accessories- aluminum handguards for firearms are tons cheaper for chrissakes !

@@tomc6003 a bit more, I believe just over 1k EUR... it's great, powerful and accurate, but I agree that they kind of got carried away with the pricing- the old perception that the average Joe in the US or Europe is swimming in 100$ or € bills.

This would make a great practice rifle for steel challenge type events! The only downside I saw is a timer will not pick up the shots. That is until I saw you can magnify the sound with a compensator style attachment! And, it’s the right weight for fast transitions from target to target. I WANT one! BTW, your thorough review was the deciding factor for my decision to spend the money on this air gun, thank you!

What a difference a pellet makes. I dont know why edgun do reviews with JSB pellets when it loved the Barracuda and sovereign. Nice full review. You where a little candid about that reflex sight. That looked very tasty

Great review Steve a massive improvement from the original leishy I had even looks better but interesting it seems more accurate as well maybe bigger moderator adds weight helps accuracy as well the original was a tad light and moved a touch under pulling the trigger looks like everything well soughted out.

Great video Steve your like a kid in a sweet shop, a couple of points the trigger being none ajustable will it suit the majority, and on a personal note cosmetically not keen on the large bottle apart from that a stunning looking gun enjoy

The trigger does take some getting used to. It forces your to concentrate on follow through.

Good review as always. Fantastic concept, and well made. Would be nice to see how accurate you can get with it, once you are more familiar with it. As you say it is unique, but for 2 grand I would want pellet on pellet. Is it pellet sensitive ? Is it the trigger ? Or a combination of both. I would want to know that the gun out shoots me. if you know what I mean.

They do make longer barrel versions for better accuracy but for 350mm this one is pretty spot on

Great review Steve, I so nearly ordered one of these but then bottled it when Corona hit with work etc, every time I look at it I think pistol, every time you say rifle I think pistol 😂 to me it looks like a pistol with a silencer. I've seen other reviews with good grouping so I'm not worried there, it looks very well made, I'd put an AR grip on it. With a pard on top it's an awesome rat slayer for the KZbinrs, my only concern is gun laws changing and outlawing it, in the hands of criminals a folding fac rapid fire firearm that can be stored easily whose ammunition is cheap, available and untraceable would be a very useful tool, in .30 wound over 1100 FPS your in. 22 centre fire power levels in semi auto, a firearm easily able to kill with a head shot or several people with multiple headshots. I think UK gun laws will be rapidly changed to prohibit any semi auto gun to co2 power levels, that way they don't have to ban co2 pistols. A great gun that looks like amazing fun but we aren't allowed to have fun in the UK, enjoy it whilst you can.

Its only over priced if you cant afford it, such a dumb thing to say really, what price should anything be for that matter? who sets what that price is? something is worth as much as someone will pay for it, clearly people who have bought it dont think its over priced, there are a huge amount of reasons why people desire things if your argument is well a cheap PCP will also shoot a pellet so represents better value? well my 40 year old BSA airsporter also does that, why do people pay more than this for a single 100 year old stamp? what something is worth is a subjective argument, if Edgun suddenly ceased production for some reason, these would be highly collectable and probably double in value over night, still think its overpriced? making this statement is just stupid.

I wish it were possible to do a comparison video with a FAC version of the Ed Gun and a LCS Air Arms SK-19, both in .22 and .25 calibers. I believe that would be a awesome video. Both cost about the same, and Fire from the magazine. The trigger is most likely better on the Ed Gun considering the SK-19 is also full automatic. The accuracy and pellet speed while shooting faster in semi mode is what I am curious about.

Firearms act 1968.. Section 5.. F1A person commits an offence if, [F2without authority], he has in his possession, or purchases or acquires(ac)any self-loading or pump-action smooth-bore gun which is not [F7an air weapon or] chambered for .22 rim-fire cartridge. F7 was added in 1997, and clearly discludes air weapons (which would mean sub 12 foot pound or sub 6 pistols) from the act. So you can legally have sub 12 or sub 6 in pistol, air weapon semi autos. Great vids on the rifle thanks, I'm very tempted!

I think we are waiting for barrels to be delivered to EdGun. There was an issue with barrel manufacturer due to COVID temporarily shutting down the Walter-Lothar plant and then the shipping of said barrels to Russia. Any way I’m hearing December delivery ETA.

@@airgunology it's not chavs it's criminals that's the problem, unregulated in semi auto, untraceable ammo, foldable, barrel sawn easily transportable, the money county lines drug gangs make these are easily affordable, I know they can afford real firearms however that doesn't mean they won't find these an attractive tool to arm their foot soldiers with also your caught with a real powder firearm no excuse, your caught with a legal airgun still possibly trouble but much less so, such a shame but much like with previous restrictions it will be criminal activity that spoils the fun for the law abiding.

.25 on order. Say again how you fill the tank please. Is a compressor recommended or transfer from a larger bottle? I can know how hard it is to hand pump over 2000 psi to just get barely over the 1600 lbs regulator on my FX Wildcat MK 11.

Definitely compressor or big bottle problem I found scuba shops around me won’t fill tanks without having a dive certificate and make sure you get a tank that’s 4500 psi rated I got the Chinese air compressor and have had zero issues with it filling my gun haven’t filled any big tanks it see no reason why there would be any issues

I can pull better groups than that with a cheap chinese spring piston, accuracy is far more about the shooter than it is the gun. But, you will get more accuracy out of something like an air arms s400 or many other rifles, the magazine system will always lose you a little accuracy, but at 50-60 yards theres no reason you shouldn't be able to shoot the nuts off a gnat with this rifle.

I’m not sure where you saw it spray pellets like a shotgun, but at my local range a member has one, it is pellet sensitive, but once he got it dialed in it shoots one hole at 50 yards and still sub moa at 100 yards.

The Red Wolf is only any good in full power ,ive owned one and tried to hunt with it sub 12 it was not very good ,the auto cut off is very annoying its too big and cumbersome . I also own this rifle and its by far and away the better one .

i think this accuracy problems at 25m should be about the sub 12 ftlb and the small caliber. i have seen those rifles grouping 4-5 moa in .30 with bullets. i must say, i taught that chilean gun laws sucked but at least we are not in the island.

@@MasonStormSunny Actually I saw a few outher UK Leshiy review video showing a promising accuracy. I do not think there is a problem with the magazine feed system. Steyr uses it, and if it was a problematic system causing inaccuracy, I would not think a brand like Steyr would use it.

After testing my one Steve this rifle will never be that accurate due to the pellet being blown from the magazine into the barrel, if not 100% lined up the pellets hitting the skirts . Shame could have been a great rifle.

I have watched and looked this gun for maybe thousand times but can not by the real one from my country. There is but the fake one from china makes disappointed so just build my talon condor with the air tank look like leshiy 2 . Very accuracy and strong. 100m just two fingers wild but still dream about leshiy 2 ...ohhhh gold. .....
