Great feeling when you get back home. You walked exactly the same way through the airport that we did. I have to say, i do like the self bag check in on the east jet flights. Thanks Steve.

I made the reverse mistake at Gatwick a couple of years ago . I didn't check the boarding pass for my EasyJet flight to Palermo and headed straight for Bag Drop at North Terminal, as I had done several times previously. But the flight was from the South Terminal, not the North! Since then, I always read the boarding pass carefully to avoid a dash between the 2 terminals. EasyJet operate from both terminals now. But mainly the North one (I think). Thanks for the helpful information about passport control changes.

As I was watching this I was thinking he’s in the wrong terminal. Glad you made it home.

How did you not see you we’re supposed to be in the north terminal I find it astonishing people don’t look at there tickets and check before hand. Hopefully lesson learned in future lol🤩

Es una lástima que los aeropuertos sean tan largos y haya que caminar tanto, Ustedes y todos. nosotros. Bastaría una sala con butacas y un bar. ¡Saludos y buen viaje!.

Concerning immigration at ports - when my brother & his wife came on a short cruise from Southhapton to Hamburg & back we picked them up from the cruise terminal in Hamburg for the day. Apparently the Germen immigration guys asked "are you coming back to the ship this evening" - they said "yes" & were waved through. No passport stamping, no hassel.

Steve, I think you walked more in each of those airports than you do on your daily walks around Mallorca. Bill

We are an American couple who are visiting Mallorca for the first time (for the next two months.). As part of our prep, we have been watching Mallorca fhru the eyes of Steve and Anita. On 15 Jan, we were on the same flight from Gatwick to Palma. We were not the ones with the severe peanut allergy - was it you?

It’s a long way around to get to baggage. When are the works at terminal A supposed to be completed ? How are your knees with all that walking. Cheers 🍻

It’s much easier in the Summer when you arrive in A, much quicker walk.

All that staff standing about doing nothing , would have been far quicker to have kept them ( or others) on baggage drop of with humans, I hate big airports, the smaller the better.

@ I arrived once on a late evening flight, found the electronic gates for Brits closed at Palma Airport and grumpily joined a very long queue with a single passport stamping official . Several staff standing around, gossiping….I politely asked for the gates to be opened . They didn’t, but after a quick huddled confab, one came over and let all Brit passport holders skip the queue via a shortcut which saved at least 40 minutes . My son who’s a regular flyer to Palma, told me he’s done that too, when presented with closed electronic gates on really busy days. Won’t be too long before computerised ground and flight crew I bet. Lol

Stayed at the Bloc hotel in Gatwick (it really was like living in the airport 🛫) EasyJet offer a twilight checkin for early flights so maybe consider that if you’re ever doing that again (an extra 20 mins in bed👌) You defo got your steps in going through both airports, hope you had a snooze when you got home 🏡
