It was a Glorified Red Carpet event with some big-time matches attached to it AKA a "Premier" Executives, Celebrities, hell the main cast of Monday night raw wrestlers were all in the crowd wearing formal attire mostly

I think Gunther's booking isn't holding up well to the slower, more methodical pace of the main event scene. What made Gunther's IC title reign great was that he was defending it all the time against a wide variety of opponents, and normally winning clean. Now he barely has matches, is stuck in this Judgment Day vortex where he's seemingly been fighting the same people for 5 months, and only has one clean win against Orton.

16:50 As a lapsed RAW/really only watch the big 4 these days viewers, I watched a full episode of RAW for the first time in probably 7 or 8 years this week. Was it great? No. Was it good enough that I’ll watch next week? Yes. Netflix was enough of a hook to get me in the door, and WWE did enough to (for now) close the door behind me.

More anecdotal stuff about Netflix, I’ve got people I know who don’t watch wrestling at all go “yeah, i don’t have cable in my college dorm, so I’m going to give it a try now i think, just to see what the big deal is” so it definitely has an effect

As you said, fans want AEW to consolidate a bunch of their titles and tournaments because they don’t mean anything. Just merge the Continental Belt into another title, make the ring MJF (currently) wears the prize for the first C2 after that, rename the tournament “The Diamond Dozen”, and in addition to the ring, the winner faces the World Champion at Revolution. See? That wasn’t hard.
