Good video. I've never understood why simple annualized returns are so rarely used in PE. Especially for mature funds they are more intuitive, much less prone to gaming and allow for direct comparison with listed indexes.

Had no idea that those two other factors can affect and alter the IRR, I was always taught in real estate to use IRR and MOIC in conjunction with each other, provides a more in depth overview of the investment returns.
