Reeves didn't, he followed through, and high at that. With his history, not to mention the blood AND the attention from it being in Toronto... I can see Reeves gets 6-8 games easy... and I'd accept that.

Head down around the net is dangerous, but so is a rising body blow leading with the shoulder; that can easily become head contact, especially if the (semi-?)unaware target unexpectedly drops their shoulder to shoot/reach, which I think might've been part of it here. Even if he didn't intend the head contact, I agree that the aftermath and his previous history do not bode well for Reaves. All the best to Nurse; I hope his family wasn't watching that.

Berube has to get him shifts replacing Domi every once and a while, just to throw Willy a bone
@anthonypham75638 сағат бұрын
Man Marner was really something in that OT. He had to turn his back on McDavid as the last man back because he doesn't skate backwards as fast as defensemen, but he still put enough pressure on McDavid to force an early shot. Marner also knew Draisaitl was on his off-hand during that EDM 2 on 1 so he fully expected the pass and created the TOR 2 on 1 back.

I know they won but I thought if you hit the other team stick away on the ice it a penalty or is that just when the leafs do it

Re: Matthew Knies, I heard the boys on Kyper and Bourne talk about it. They made a comparison, or more accurately, they posed the question: Would you, if you were able, trade Juraj Slafkovsky for Matthew Knies?? Kyper and Sam McKee were saying never, absolutely not (meaning, they'd rather have Knies over Slafkovsky). Bourne wasn't as confident, he was leaning towards Slaf over Knies. I wholeheartedly agree with Kyper and McKee, I would not make that trade. I'm keeping Knies 10 times outta 10. Just thought I'd mention it. Knies, just like the Stolarz pick-up, have both been revelations. I challenge anyone to name me 2 contracts that were signed this off-season that were at least comparable or better than the one Tree made for Stolarz. And ironically, Stolarz had a poor game by his own standards! A .900 SV% is way below his average this season lol- Tremendous. Go Leafs Goooooooooo!!!!!

Bouchard went out of his way to blow the lead tonight. An extra stride or two completely breaks up McManns breakaway.

Don't get me wrong. Im happy with the win, and i love the heart it takes to come back. That said, third period comeback leafs are fun in October and November. BUT!! It gets old really fast. Especially when those comebacks dont happen. They do have to find their feet earlier in these games or the mid-season slump is going to be horrible this year.

I'm a guy that is always on team Mitch and I hate how Leafs Nation always hate on Mitch in the off season, suggesting to trade him and then love him during the season.

Re Bouchard It’s a will issue not a skill issue.

Usually the leafs lose slog games. Playoff games can be slogs. If anything I welcome these wins because to me it’s the most reminiscent of some playoff games
