I complained about the slashing the stick away on the game tying goal as well (on reddit). Leafs just got called for it a couple games ago and this one was a lot more blatant.

For the most part, the Leafs just dont make those big mistakes like they did in previous years. Combine that with solid goaltending, and you're always going to have a chance to win.

Toronto player moves a stick 4 inches, 2 min for interference. McJesus flicks a stick 4 ft, no problem at all. He had the puck, the refs would have been watching him, how they missed him flicking the stick away, inexcusable.

As for the Reaves hit... I haven't heard anyone yet comment that Reaves actually played the puck first immediately before the collision. Reaves had to stretch first to play the puck, it is only natural that having done so he would be "elevating" immediately prior to the hit to protect himself during the collision. I'm hoping that George Parros takes that into account...

Something In The Water is a hole in the wall bar in Liberty Village but I’ve been in there a handful of times and they are wild for the CFL. They have Argos/CFL stuff all over and everyone in there was rocking a jersey (before an Argos game mind you). But I have a feeling they’d be packed for the game tomorrow, really small/ chill vibe

Doesn’t matter, and wouldn’t matter even if he got the puck first. That’s not the rule. Can’t make direct contact with the head. Doesn’t matter whether he meant it or not. Dirty hit, he’s going to get suspended, and he deserves it.

It went in but the design of these nets is terrible. The puck rarely stays in the net like it used to. All they do is rely on TV replay like the goal judges used to be relied on. Pucks used to go in the net and stay in the net.

I’m with Sammy, Reavo is getting the ‘leafs tax’ on the suspension, it’ll be 5+ games for sure. That being said, I love that hit from Reavo. He’s obviously not trying to hurt him, Nurse and him are pretty close buddies, just unfortunate outcome in the end. Reavo is out there very rarely, gets scratched a lot, he HAS to play hard and heavy like that or else he’s not in the lineup. He missed his shoulder by half a foot and that’s on him in the end. But if I’m Berube I’m saying “I’ll take that one Reavo”

Three is a meaningless suspension… if the players want head hitting out if the game they need to take responsibility….. hammer Nurse through the body BAM but hit the head and you should get 10-15 games…. Otherwise behaviours won’t change. It is clear there was no head hit intention but it happened.

Reeves doesn’t belong in the league. I don’t think reeves is a dirty player. Have you seen reeves play? It’s all he can do is undisciplined plays. Both teams were shocked they didn’t even battle. 3 games isn’t even a slap on the wrist.
