Bruins fan here. No shame to lose in such a close series to the back to back Stanley Cup champions, but I know that it must still hurt. On another note, I think the reason you get huge amounts of fans from other fan bases is that real fans appreciate the passion you show for the game, even though it’s not for their team.

@bgainesDM1 weaker, yes, but I don’t know about the “much”. They’re still the champs, and I would not bet on Florida against them. What I was really trying to say was that this is not like losing to Montreal (last year), who were the lowest seed, if I recall correctly.

@bgainesDM1 they added perry hagel and paul. Colton also progressed well so they aren't weaker for me. But they won back to back cups so they may not have a lot of energy. And I say all that as a habs fan so don't think I'm a fan of tampa. It's just facts

As a 64 year-old Toronto fan, who was AT the last Stanley Cup game the Leafs won (I was 9), now living in Vancouver, I would like to THANK YOU, Steve, for your great LFR videos. You have become a dear friend I look forward to listening to after each game. You see, in Vancouver, hating/dissing/mocking the Leafs is not only a blood-sport, it is a credit course at UBC and in most high schools. The only fellow Leaf fans I can celebrate/commiserate with are fellow actors who, like me, came out west for TV and Film work. And we have to be furtive about it. So when I put on your LFR videos, it’s like having a great Leaf brother to chat with. So wonderful. Throughout this season, and last, I was recuperating from a below-the-knee amputation. Learning to walk again. And the Leafs got me through many a long night in hospital, as did your LFRs. And this season, though I was walking and functioning again, the Leafs gave me SO MUCH pleasure and so many good feelings. So much entertainment. As did you. As crushed as I am with this loss, I think our boys left it all on the ice, and they did themselves proud. Thanks to them and you for a great year. One last shout out- I literally lost my tea when you wore the referee jersey in your manic jersey collage and shouted “When did I get a Tampa jersey?” Absolutely SPOT ON, Steve. The best.

“The most heartbroken fans right now are the luckiest ones, because you’re actually doing it right.” Bolts fan here. That has to be one of my favorite quotes I have heard when talking about sports fandom. I remember the feeling I had from 2011 ECF game 7 against Boston, the feeling I had from 2014 round 1 against Montreal, the feeling from 2015 SCF against Chicago, the feeling from the stands in 2018 game 7 against Washington, and the feeling from 2019 getting swept in the first round against Columbus. It really hurts but it makes the eventual triumph that much better. As a Bolts fan, I see a lot of similarities between the 2014/2015 Bolts team and this Leafs team. I think they need a bit more leadership in the locker room. Some leadership with playoff experience. Someone outside of Muzzin with a Stanley Cup ring could be good. Maybe take a shot at getting a player like Ondrej Palat in the off-season, just as an example. This is definitely tough. I’m truly not sure what else could be done. The team looks great. I don’t think moving on from Keefe or Dubas is the answer imo though.

Love and appreciate everything you do, Steve. I became a Leaf fan in Saskatchewan when I was six and my godfather, Bert Olmstead, played for the Leafs during the Dynasty that peaked in 67. Moved to Toronto in time for 40 years of losing while never giving up hope. I got to meet many of my childhood heroes waiting to take a piss in one of the troughs that used to be called washrooms in MLG. I bought a house from one of the Leaf wives. And near the end of my time in your city, Doug Gilmour's dog used to curl up on my couch while he was at practice. Now I'm on the West coast where wearing a Leaf cap is an invitation for abuse. The Cubs went 70 years without making the World Series, and 108 years without winning it all. But the moment they did, every bad luck moment that occurred years and decades before melted away. I keep glued to your channel, because I want to watch the feeling you will have be the same as I did watching my team wash 108 years away. It will happen. Steve you're totally missing the point on the interference call- it was a clear penalty that put Tavares in the meatiest of scoring positions. Those have to be called even in the playoffs. @Redacted Yet I bet each and every one of them makes more money in 3 days than you will your entire existence. Talk about worthless? Look in the mirror, you'll see the epitome of that. Keyboard warrior.

@Redacted , they wanna sit there and pretend that the refs didn’t give them plenty of BS calls and got the nerve complain about a pick play? This isn’t effing basketball 🏀 you fools! If you guys invented the game then at the very least you should know the rules.

We are here for you bro. Not to laugh at you. Just here. I’ve grown up watching your vids and it’s your passion and love as well as knowledge for the sport that keeps having me come back. Even as a detroit fan. One day Mathews will raise the cup and we will all shed a happy tear with you brother

Thankyou for all the LFR's Steve, loved them all. I'm still numb after yesterday's loss and like you I don't know how, with little cap space that this team can get better. I hope management doesn't blow the team up and they get one more chance to do the thing we all want to see. Still looking forward to the SDP's , it's something to brighten the Dull Australian winter sports. Thanks again Steve I Love your work.

Me too Steve. I had legit faith. I was amped for tonight, sooooo amped! But, I will be back especially if we have the same team next year! Thank you 🙏🏼

You're the only reason I had a team to root for this postseason. My condolences, Dangle. -A Red Wings fan

Steve thank you for this season again. I’m sorry this team can’t make the jump but you’re the best Dangle!

Firstly - thank you for not giving up on us, giving on them after last year. This LFR demonstrates a level of maturity that everyone who comes here strictly for the schadenfreude is in absolute denial of any of us in Leafs Nation of being capable and it echos volumes of what many Leafs Fans are saying this year now that our season has ended. Go and look on Twitter, on Reddit on Facebook. We're all saying I'm not sorry, I'm not ashamed, I'm not afraid of what anyone else has to say about us. I LOVE this team. Leafs Nation has grown up so much in these last 12 months and this right here is a near perfect representation of how. #LeafsForever and ever. Amen.

I’m a long-time Bruins fan and can feel your pain. I was rooting for you last night and could not believe the Leafs couldn’t quite get it done. The Bruins couldn’t either. It’s painful to lose that last one. If I could, I’d give you a big hug, Steve. I love your videos, passion, and sense of humor. Keep doing what you’re doing. We love you, man. 💕💕💕

Happened upon this as a Canes fan, and FWIW, great series and nothing but respect. Boston made us better by putting us through hell in '19 & '20, and we don't win that series without that adversity. You guys did Bergeron proud.
