I had mixed feelings about steveee and didn't find it fair for him but you did make valid points. I still feel bad for him because no one reached out in private before the exposed videos, which could've perhaps prevented the massive hate he gets. Maybe the outcome of privately reaching out would have made him stop or do something else instead of the response he made where he probably felt very pressured. Anyways I just felt horrible when reading his comment section and cant imagine what I'd feel like if that happened to me on my videos. The thing is, Steveee is right in saying that sometimes tracking the original source of an idea to give credit is impossibly hard, But guess what Steveee? You had given yourself the path to work around this problem. Let's not forget that Steveee, unlike others, does not give credit by typing in description "Original source". No. He types, "Idea-". Which means that he is not confirming the fact that the person he took the idea from is the original creator, bypassing the crediting issue while still giving credit to the person who gave the "idea" to Steveee. After all, Steveee got the "idea" from that person, not from the original creator, so it makes sense that he will credit them. This is why Steveee's justification for not crediting is bullshit. Even crediting someone who themselves are not the source of the idea is fine, because if they did upload the idea without crediting the source, then that's not your problem. If Steveee credited Phoenix for an idea he took from reddit, and Phoenix did not credit the redditor, that would fall under Phoenix's fault, not Steveee. So his alibi is bullshit.
