I just want to start by saying how totally awesome your videos are! They've definitely helped me to learn the apush material and just history in general. I did, however, notice some slight errors in the section on Mormonism in this video. First of all, the doctrine of polygamy was not public knowledge, even among church members, until the church moved to Nauvoo, Illinois in the 1840s. Before this time most persecution was a result of the influx of Latter-Day Saints moving to one community. This had a major impact on local politics, which made original settlers angry, as it weakened their political presence. This was especially the case in Missouri, where the church's abolitionist ideologies clashed with those of the pro-slavery Missourians. Another note: Joseph Smith was actually killed in Carthage, Illinois, not Missouri as the video says. Although lynched is technically a correct term, technically, as Joseph was running for President at the time, it was an assassination. Thank you again for your amazing videos!
