About a year ago at one of Steve's shows, my body chemistry randomly decided that on this particular night, 3 drinks would be enough to put me in a state of black-out drunkenness and I made a complete ass out of myself right in the front row. I'm pretty sure I ruined every bit of footage he was trying to film that night. Every once in a while, brief glimpses of my memory come back from that night of the look I got from Steve at the end of the night and I'm here to say that not a single drop of alcohol has touched my lips since going to Steve's show. Still a big fan of the man and watch every video he posts and looking forward to seeing him again if he ever tours near my area again. I wonder how many other people out there Steve has helped sober up with his unique instrumentation of language.

Over serving is very common in bars and clubs, because it can be hard to prove little can be done and the servers live off of tips so there’s that too. DUI sentences should include a mandatory visit to the coroners to assist in an autopsy to help reassemble the remains of a body mangled in a DUI fatality. Maybe a ride-a-long with a rescue crew to hear the painful moans of a barely alive occupant calling out for their dead friend during the extraction?

Steve, thank you for this video. I'm so glad to see a video from you that isn't a 2-minute short of stage game show stuff. I know a bunch of people like that, and it's still good material, but it's too short! I love your longer stuff, especially when you show a heckler the error of his ways. If you ever get into the Philly area, I'd love to see a show, but the chances are small since I'm disabled and don't travel much anymore. But I did want to let you know that these videos are among my favorites of yours. They make me laugh, and that's rare these days. Your specials are AMAZING, top of the line, truly works of comedic art. But the 10-15 minute videos are, to me, just the right length. You've got them dialed in and they're wonderful. Thank you so much for these.

If you have someone that likes him as well, you should team up and go to a show. I have pretty severe depression and anxiety, and a friend talked me into a Greg Davies show, since I’m madly in love with him. It was amazing and I’m so glad I did it. i see all these heckler videos. 1st stand up comedy show i ever saw was at my college auditorium in 1997. college paid some guy to come so students had free show. i was sitting front row and at time didnt realize being a heckler at a stand up show was even a thing. i wasnt trying to be a jerk. i just had adhd or add or something back before those were things. i forget what it was but i said something out loud in response to comics joke. i got some laughs. then comic spent next 5 minutes roasting me and omg it was the funniest thing ever. i could not stop laughing! the crowd loved it too. i was the cool kid the next day. i forget who it was and he was real funny but i think i made show even better. he was good to come up with all that stuff on the spot too. i finally met my match on trash talking. 1 my best memories of college. im so happy he made fun of me instead of tossing me out cause i really was enjoying the show. i just had a problem with blurting things out sometimes. i enjoyed the show more after he made fun of me. i felt special like i was part of the act.

Forgive my ignorance here, I don't tend to go to any shows. (Any shows of any kind, I don't leave my house often for personal reasons.) But I thought that friendly heckling back and forth with the audience was what you were supposed to do with comedians. Again, I say, I am ignorant here, not challenging in any away. I'm seriously just asking. I'm not the type to speak up in a crowd anyway, but if I found out that's definitely frowned upon, I would absolutely keep my mouth shut! You guys are doing the work here!
@MsRollingstone116 ай бұрын
When a comedian asks the audience a question, either generally or individually, it's fine to respond. But when the comedian begins his set, it's a performance from the beginning to the end, & audience members randomly yelling out or talking at all during the performance is totally bad form. People have paid to hear the comedian, not random audience members seeking attention.

I enjoy the heck out of these videos and appreciate your plight. As of yet, I haven’t disagreed with any of your viewpoints. The only thing I question is that the content of these videos will cause more heckling and therefore change the dynamic of these videos in regards to whether or not the situation is authentic or just a person in the crowd playing a part they feel is expected or because they just want to feed their ego. I guess the fact that they are heckling in the first place shows their need for attention. I guess, it sort of feels like these videos might just feed the beast and make things worse. It’s totally possible I’m missing the overall joke and that the purpose of the videos is to do exactly what I’m questioning and that’s completely fine. I’m just confused as to which it is.
