Never understood Phillips head screws used in high end speakers. There is much better hardware available. If you ever have to take a driver out the screw head paint gets chipped and the screw head often rounded due to the inferior design of a Phillips head.

Not accusing you of this but so many people use an incorrect size driver and even more use a worn out driver leading to what you described.

I did wonder how they might sound with the Willsenton R8 and I discovered my answer in your written review which I appreciate your taking the time to include. The Willsenton is my only tube amplification but I do own a varied amount of solid state amps so I am excited to see which amp they blend with to my ears. I always look forward to your reviews for not only do I discover great gear but beautiful music as well. Thanks!

Soursepoint 10s have been measured at 75 ohms at crossover point though. How well will your amp deal with that? I wouldn't recommend a tube amp unless it can drive 75 ohms without a huge power loss or changing the frequency response at high impedances which tube amps tend to do.

Really great and informative review. Quite affordable speakers for its performance. All gives a high five for its sound quality. Some day, in Europe, we might get them to a fair price. I do believe some audiophiles will tweak them, after they have seen the yellow cheesy crossover. But, the manufacturer might have picked really, high end, quality parts but forgot to change the color that calls cheap quality. Or? Looking forward to 2023.

I've heard these with a Rogue Sphinx amp and an inexpensive DAC and they were incredible. I see people saying "of course it sounds great with the Pass amp, it's $7000"; The Sphinx (stock) is $1700 I believe with the ability to roll tubes if you want. Also, you can put these on their sides rather than the traditional vertical setup. Give it a try, @SteveHuffHiFi.

System synergy The speakers & amp are one. They have too work together. Original if they sounded thin then impedance miss match. You don’t have too use an expensive amplifier as Long as it’s matched too the speaker. If you want that speaker too sound even better. Put a high pass filter on the 10” mid bass driver. If you relive the first octive. Then half the excursion moment of the drive is halfed. A lot less Doppler distortion Frequency inter modulation distortion Same as jitter intermodal distortion in DACs

Thanks for the Sourcesound speakers by MoFi. Your room space looks great and that would be ideal for disco😄 ( you may not see this posting, but here goes) The only thing I am concerned with is the change in sound you got with a change in amps- and achieving better sound with the higher watt PAS Lab amp. Also am wondering if the sub woofer is essential? I also like Dean Martin, etc. I use vintage Epi Tower 1000 speakers, 75” tall with 4-8” woofers in each. I need no sub at down to 20 Hz. I use a Mac 252 amp. Would I be risking much time & dollars to consider a swap out to the Sourcesound?

Audio equipment is usually cheaper in America. These speakers are priced at £4500 with the UK distributor. That's $1700 more for the same speaker. Pass labs Int-25 costs £7195 in UK, another $1400 more than the U.S. pays.
