Thank you for the review. I am glad you found the build quality is adequate, as I have this exact same tool: In addition to using it for the intended purpose of making holes in sheet metal, I purchased it also for the hydraulic pump, which I plan to use with a hydraulic wedge I also have. I just need to figure out the thread sizes in the punch cylinder, as I need to replace the fixed connection with a quick disconnect to be able to switch between tools. Thanks also for all your other content, especially on the Chinese mini lathe.

Hi Thanks, Yes I will look into that sometime soon as I want to convert mine to a quick release coupling. They did have them on the earlier models, I think. Regards Steve

@@SteveJordan Yes, I'm under the same impression, so it's a shame they did away with the quick disconnect on these. Please do share your findings if you eventually go ahead with the conversion.

Just so people are not surprised by the hole sizes, remember that this set of punches is for US conduit sizes, and the holes are actually the sizes for conduit connecters - a bit more than .3 inches larger than the nominal diameter. There is a similar set for metric conduit.

Fantastic tool Steve. Modern version of a chassis punch. I could have used one of these recently. Had to cut five 28mm holes in some aluminium sheet. Bought a hole saw set from Aldi which did the job, but made a dreadful mess. Cheers Nobby

Had a cheap Chinese one of these for 10-15 years, been worth its weight in gold for 92mm square holes - the greenlee square punch was fairly pricey tho!

They're super handy, you can use it to Dimple Die as well, also there's other Punches and Benders you could use with that Pump.

G'day Mate, That's what I intend to do- I found this kit looking into buying a Dimple Die kit to make some running boards for a TE20 Fergie & saw how inexpensive these knockout punches are - Did you buy Dimple dies to suit this Vevor Punch? or modify the the hole punches provided? I was thinking maybe I could 3d print a Cup & Washer that could be used with the existing pump or turn up something on the lathe - Idk - buying a good set of Dimple Dies is a bit expensive if it not something you're going to use regularly - Any advice is appreciated - Cheers Paul 👍

@@purebloodheretic4682 I just made mine on my Lathe, not hard to do, just a male & female die with a hole to fit the bolt on the ram.

Gday Steve, I didn’t know they did this tool, it worked a treat, what is the maximum thickness it can cut, great video mate, cheers
@SteveJordan Жыл бұрын
Hi Matt, Thanks, I will check it out and see. They only specify 3mm, I think, but I reckon they will go through thicker. I'm looking forward to making some difference die cutting parts that can be used with the actual existing die cups. There is no need to make one's with new threads as one can use them in a special way. I hope to show it soon. Regards Steve
