Hello Steve, I came across your channel and I'm blown away. What you have to offer is tremendous! Your knowledge coupled with your teaching style is refreshing--you're laid back but the way you present & demonstrate knowledge literally anyone can learn--and you make it make sense! I'm learning 4-string but 6-string and fretless bass has always spoken to me. ...wish I were near your studio; with two 45-min in-person lessons per month, and me doing the work, I can only imagine where my playing would be in 2-years. Peace, Brother Steve. Many thanks!

YES! This is exactly what I need to practice. I’m a flute player with a music degree, have been playing for decades. My playing is stiff and connects the dots. Thank you 🙏🏻

Most underrated bass lessons on KZbin. Steve I'm so glad you are still pushing out lessons. I'm still taking my time with earlier ones but I like to watch the new ones to see what's coming. Keep it up and thank you 🤘 P.s: I tried to buy you a few cups of coffee but it is not possible from Germany 😕

Thank you! Yes, take your time with everything and absorb it and commit it to memory. Down the road if you're playing in a band or writing songs, you'll use it.

Hello Steve, I am following your bass instructions and like the way you simplify the vocabulary. My son gave me an old lead guitar. Is it feasible to learn them simultaneously or wait until proficiency on bass.
@stevekonbass Жыл бұрын
Oh I'd definitely say learn them both at the same time if you can because then you can see how they work together... as an example playing triads on bass while the guitar holds the chords. If you watch this first video I did it kind of sheds light on that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3uUdqqAaq-jh6c

Why is there no F in this scale ?
@stevekonbass9 ай бұрын
There's no B in it either. Your basically playing the C major scale C D E F G A B C and leaving the F and B out. Pentatonic... Penta meaning 5... so 5 notes- C D E G A. It's a 5 note scale. Used a lot in blues. You can also mess with the relative minor pentatonic A C D E G. These scales are loved by every guitarist who ever took a solo.
