I thought Grizzlies only birthed twins maybe a rare set of triplets. It is amazing to see this mama with four! Great video.

@@dac9404 Yes, 2 is common, 3 is not unusual and 4 is rare. But, 399 having 4 at age 24 is very rare. Lifespan is about 20-25 yrs. In 2006, 399 had 3 cubs. One female was tagged 610. In 2011, exhibiting behavior never before documented, 399 with 3 cubs met up with her 5 yr old daughter, 610, who adopted one of the cubs and raised it to adulthood. This is probably 399's last cubs. I hope she makes it through the winter and gets them through their second year. She has more than earned her name Queen of the Tetons.

Steve, great job capturing these bears as they move around the landscape naturally. Its sometimes hard to get intimate wildlife shots without the animals reacting to your presence, and you obviously did a great job of minimizing your effect on the environment because these bears never seemed to look at the camera or be running from you. I especially loved the moment where three of the cubs were trying to figure out the right approach to scale the steep bank, that made me laugh!! Really professional stuff, keep it up man!
