A ver, el sonido clasico de GNR que tanto aman los fans y que conquisto el mundo, nació de una inusual combinación de talentos y habilidades musicales muy personales, donde el "alegre" sonido de la batería de Adler era fundanenttal, sin eso y sin la guitarra rítmica de Stradlin, el sonido de la banda se resintió tremendamente, pero como a Axl eso siempre le importo un c***, hubo que adaptarse al sonido metrónomo de Sorum y a la plana guitarra de Clarke, que para mí gusto jamás cuajaron, compare cualquier canción de los Illusions con el sonido demoledor del Appetite o con Civil War, la única cancion que alcanzó a grabar Adler y entenderán a que me refiero. Conclusión el único batería de GNR es y será Adler y GNR es la combinación de 5 talentos únicos, irrepetibles e irremplazables, el resto de alineaciones con los años fueron escuetos remedos de lo que la banda original fue, y solo sirvieron para mantenerle el bolsillo y el capricho a Axl como una marca registrada a su nombre y no como la última gran banda de Rock que fue la original.

I have always LOVED that signature "just behind the beat" grove from Steven. That was part of the heart and soul and feel of Appetite that made it such a brutal and heavy album. Also that snare sound. The way I hear it, it thumps almost as much as the bass drum. Deep and dark.

That was really hard to watch. Embarrassing. I had to look away at times. At first I was thinking, 'there is NO way that this guy is even plugged in'. His hands wouldn't even be in the right spot on the neck. Then it looked like he was playing in an open tuning for a minute. But then you would hear him messing up..so he was plugged in. Then it came time for his solo... oh my. Not only did it sound bad...but just looking at him was embarrassing. How can someone be SO unaware of themselves that they willingly go on stage in front of full house and make a total full of themselves? He was moving like he was mentally challenged. Wiggling around and making faces like he was Yngwie Malmsteen. Maybe they have a 'Make a Wish' Foundation for adults in the country that this was filmed. haha

These guys are utterly amazing. I don't know what the deal is with that extra guitar player that doesnt' know how to play. Is he a 'Make a Wish' kid-adult or something? I have listened to a bunch of other songs from this show and the whole band is killer. If you just listen, you would actually think it was Duff playing bass. Sounds just like him and plays just like him. Bass is nice and high in the mix..it is great. Steven is so fun to watch. He looks like a little kid playing drums...but sounds like a pro. Cool to hear that this singer is now gigging with Steven's band.. I'd like to see them. I highly doubt that they will come to the east coast of Canada though. If they do, I'll be there.
