@@jerryoshea3116 I'm from the Netherlands but from the outside looking in the England squad is looking very very promising and I think the fact that all the clubs keep on buying everyone makes the BPL stronger and ensures English players that are not playing at the (traditional) top clubs indeed play at the highest level! Guys like Chilwell, Maddison, Grealish as an example get to play star players week in week out. Lot of good football players and I feel the upcoming England team at the Euros will be much stronger than the one at the World Cup.

@@Djordjevicc Well that's a very optimistic view(and I agree Jack Grealish is a player with loads of ability&potential-and he did represent Ireland's under 17, 18 and 21?..So I think he should still be one of theirs?)but him, James Maddison,there's a young kid at Man City?&some of the Liverpool players are excellent players but the vast majority are from overseas.. But this constant "Merry go round "amongst the clubs concerning the transfer market,really is detrimental to the game..Instabilty has a negative effect.. No sooner do the players start achieving some kind of chemistry,then their jumping ship..And iut of curiousity,may i enquire ur age?.

You're not wrong by the way, all I'm saying is there's also upside to this new era of football for young players, especially in the Premier League with all these class players walking around. But yeah it all boils down to chemistry and coaching when it comes down to the national team. But I feel like the sense of rivalry amongst players nowadays is really fading away (in part thanks to social media and most players not coming from their current teams own youth teams/city) so perhaps this new era of English football players will mesh better than the phenomenal team they had with Gerrard, Scholes, Lamps etc all in their primes. Anyways as a Dutchman I've always had a weak spot for England and their fans so maybe it's just me being too optimistic, we'll find out this summer.

Have to disagree with gerrards point saying players are undervalued. He lists a load of great players we had, but we know that, thats WHY they received so much stick for never reaching even a semi final. Rio ferdinand spoke about the lack of togetherness, but again that was an excuse, and down to the players to try harder to take responsibility to change that. Both are excuses and they deservedly go down as an england team that didn't live up to their abilities.
