Steven Hassan w/ Mike Brown: Raised in Scientology, Joined the Military and Rescued His Abused Mom

Cults steal many things from their members, including happy childhoods. Our early years should be filled with freedom and fun. However, for children raised in cults, childhood can be filled with hard labor and indoctrination. This was the case for Michael Brown. His parents’ involvement with Scientology marked Mike’s childhood in many negative ways. His parents joined Scientology when Mike was seven, following his father, a former US Marine who was wounded in Vietnam, buying a copy of “Dianetics.” Mike’s dad was searching for ways to heal from PTSD when he joined Scientology. Mike moved to California with his mom after his parents’ divorce, and Mike was made to join the Sea Organization or “Sea Org,” a paramilitary section of Scientology.

I met someone in a homeless shelter who said he was dealing with drug abuse. I hope I could leave this here great video and Mike Brown is a true inspiration that helps with the sum total of people's struggles against high control groups and evil principalities that be... backtrack... this man was into this idea that we have fought in a previous life to have the parents we have... sounds similar to what you said in 9:30... I'm in Fort Collins.. I am concerned... because I watch KZbinrs who talk about child abuse who have many credentials.. and to me this cult like idea would only increase an already traumatic situation.. of my abuse... it is almost blaming further me... when really I believe the onus is on the parents that did a bad job alongside who ever I run into in this broken world who are complicit and then some in the toxic narratives that people like me( who has a bad childhood) should be condemned... and the people who should do even a somewhat look alike of an effort to take accountability for their role too... too many parents imo sell out... and blame the child... for not being the head of the household at a young age... that's essentially what I believe they do when they do this type of blame shifting later on after things don't work out... I mean what an easy cop out when you think of it... anyways the staff that works here I think is manipulative in the way he recently just said ( this guy owns a church and looks like Dwaine Johnson) to me when no one was around... "I thought you said you believe in saten.." this is a constant theme... : I think he is abusing his power because he does things when no one is around... first time I met him he mean mugged me... he said he has 10 felonys and spent time in prison 3 times... his name is Steven. I told him I believe in Jesus... I think it is just because I never go to his church which I think could be a cult because he has some type of personality disorder.. almost like Trump he is able to persuade even though it goes in the face of just being humane to someone in a hard position.. to me he is like my dad... what he dishes out is not called for... but becuase he is manipulative person he makes his own "justifcations" because always the ends justify the means... I think he is calculated to destroy me at all cost... when in fact just joining a homeless shelter is no grounds to bully me. He seems envious... he is a beer drinker TV watcher I believe and he wants to take out his jeliousy by means of dealing a death by 1000 cuts... namely when no one is looking... I kind of don't have solid facts... this might all be speculation... OR it could be spot on and a deathly serious cause for concern..
