Thank you for sharing your testimony, and like Mosab Yousef, exposing the truth about Islam. There is great power in meditating on, praying and proclaiming God's Word. Even tho' King David wrote most of Tehillim, he did so by The Spirit of The Lord. Perhaps you have already learnt this. God speaks His Word to all who will seek Him. Tehillim 34:5 I sought Adonai, and He answered me; He rescued me from everything I feared. May Tehillim 91, comfort and encourage you, especially verses 9-11. Baruch Ha Shem Am Yisrael Chai!

I am also a convert. I agree about keeping Shabbat. I also must say that the difference between other religions and Judiasm is that other religions want to force or convince people to believe in what they teach. They think that the more people who believe what they do the better. Judiasm want quality, you have to work for what you have. Also, Judiasm wants people to ask questions and find answers. Judiasm is lodical. other religions don't want people to ask questions. I love that we can continue learning forever, beyond the outside of the torah ideas to the inside combinations of G-ds attributes and gifts as well.Thank G-d for everything!!!

Just not as radical. It's more secretly violent. I had to break ties with everyone I knew, to protect them. 11:50 I think it's very important to clarify for those who are not familiar with the Akeidat Yitzchak (Binding of Isaac) that Abraham didn't actually sacrifice his son. He was commanded by G-d to do so, and because it was a commandment from G-d, He was fully committed to carrying it out. Just when he was about to complete the act, G-d (or maybe it was an angel sent by G-d - I don't remember what I was taught lol) cried out "STOP!" That's when Abraham was told that it was a test to measure how committed he was in his trust in G-d.

@@musleemahtolasile9841 He means that you can ask simple questions but you cannot "question" the dogma. It is a huge problem- what kind of loving, spiritual practice makes apostacy a sin punishable by violns, de-th, being ostracized? That is not a loving God or practice - so when you"question" the religion and decide you want to leave, you are punished in some way. Most true believers don't ask many questions, they just follow - many of the intellectuals leave the religion because their bigger questions get hostile responses - or none at all.

William is an amazing person. What incredible strength! We are so lucky that he has joined us. William has a much greater understanding of Judaism than Yakov Langer. Yakov said that if a Jewish son left Judaism, "there wouldn't be as much violence..." Huh?.... Frankly I've never heard of any Jewish parent being violent towards a Jewish son or daughter that left Judaism. Violence against a child or adult son or daughter is not prescribed in Judaism, while it is in Islam. Violence in Islam is not only common, it is prescribed. Questioning aspects of faith or practice is common and even encouraged in Judaism; in Islam it is prohibited and punished violently when a Muslim questions anything about the faith. In Judaism, we are instructed not to be joyful at the death of our enemies since they are also Hashem's creations. In Islam, Muslims are instructed to kill, gRape and enslave non-Muslims, to see them as enemies just because they are not Muslims and of course to celebrate the death of non-Muslims. Yakov is not aware of this -- which at this point is astounding. Honor killings are common in Islam, in Judaism, such things are unheard of because it is deemed out and out murder. I hope that one day Yakov becomes aware of this.

What a hateful , ignorant and categorically false comment. Islam absolutely does not sanction violence, rape or any of the filthy things you in your own mind associate with a religion you clearly know nothing about. In the vast majority of Muslim majority countries, any parent that abuses their children (whatever the reason) can be punished to the full extent of the law for doing so. "That is why We ordained for the Children of Israel that whoever takes a life-unless as a punishment for murder or mischief in the land-it will be as if they killed all of humanity; and whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity". -surat al-maidah (verse 32) Qur'an " Allah does not forbid you from treating those who do not fight you on your faith, nor have they driven you out of your homes, with benevolence and equity" - Qur'an (60:8) “You will not enter Paradise until you believe and you will not believe until you love each other. Shall I show you something that, if you did, you would love each other? Spread peace among yourselves.” -prophet Muhammad (sahih al-bukhari book)

I'm aware MOST Muslim families, that seriously adhere to the Quran are raised to be HOSTILE, if not by actions, by then their lifestyle. I've heard MANY testimonies of ex muslims, saying they HAD to flee, and if they returned home, their life would be in danger. There are cases when even parents Unalive their own children in the name of Allah (which means moon god, not God god, ya know) Its much like how youve seen videos of children doing...things. Its the same in china, how they are taught to hate that country that cannot be named, and Japan. Prayers for all 🙏

Yes, male relatives-- brothers, cousins. Sometimes over simple misunderstandings. A brother opens his siister's cell phone and sees a call from an unknown number. It may turn out that someone dialed a wrong number. But in the brother's mind, his sister must be "having an affair" and must therefore be eliminated to avoid bringing shame upon the entire family. All because of a false assumption.

The story has touched me a lot. Praying for my son as he is trying to find himself. I release him to God to make him the best person he can be. To use him the best way He knows how. I could be worried as a parent but I know God cares for him more than me. Just like the young William there, we pray for all you people who are struggling to find the truth, the purpose of their existence. May God guide them. In Jesus name Amen.

Judaism doesn’t (always) support excommunicating a child because they went off the derech. If anything it’s encouraged to show more love to that child because the reasons they go off are usually emotional.

@@joelgoldberg2040 In the small בית כנסת I belong, there are a few non-observant Jews of Syrian and Yemenite heritage. We often get Israeli visitors who are completely secular and covered in piercings and tattoos. But even they get עליות and say ברכת התורה.

It is an amazing story, but it’s even more amazing the way William was telling us about it. The highlight of this story is the spiritual and intellectual guidance he found inside of himself which led him through this dangerous and perilous way. Especially impressive is his restrained wise manner to present horrible sides of his former life. Thank you , William!

Shabbat is a beautiful thing and I encourage every Jew to try and keep it, even if only once. The benefits of disconnecting from the world are numerous but one that speaks to me most is that even if I am having a difficult week, I at least have 25 hours to rest and recharge before jumping back into the chaos.

Hashem protect you your wife and daughter. You are indeed blessed. I am glad you said you studied the Torah. The Torah is the tree of life. There so many promises in the Torah that can deliver us from any misfortune. Pray that Hashem will touch the heart of your family to understand you why you did what you did. Our parents forgets that they can house our bodies but can't control our emotions. God richly bless you.
