I don't know how this doesn't have more thumbs up. This is WAY better information than anything the manufacturer supplies for this software. Thanks so much for doing this. I learned a lot!

Great job on this. So much more clear than any other info I've seen out there and really helped me to get the most out of Trigger!

So, I have a ton of samples but they do not seem to work in Trigger. How do I bring my samples into the Trigger and make them work?

Ben, I've been working behind a console for over 40 years and commend your ability to completely step people thru the workings of Slates Trigger 2. As an old analogue guy that has had to relearn the different tools used today, and most being software and not hardware, can really be a challenge. Having come across your tutorial, I can't express enough as to more often than not, today's toys are explained to users that have only lived in the day of mouse & keyboard terminology, leaving some of us old salts in the dust. Again, your video has given the overview of this product that defines 'how to' at a level of ease. Thank you.

Dude that was a very good explanation and easy to digest video covering all the features and you almost gave a mini master class on drums, audio engineering and sampling too.. respect man. 👍🎸📻

Try running your drum replacement on a parallel channel to your main snare (if you are planning on using a dry blend) and notch filtering the kick and toms out with a surgical EQ like FabFilter Pro-Q, then run through a transient designer to boost attack and cut sustain. You can filter your replacer track pretty hard to remove bleed, then restore that transient and you're good to go.

Placing a Wilkinson Audio DeBleeder plugin before your Trigger works much better than using the suppress option. Plus you don't take up any bus slots on ProTools. The only disadvantage is that DeBleeder is not compatible with Big Sur/Monterey.

Thank you for this informative video. I would like to know how to import my own sample into Trigger 2. I dont know where to save my audio files in order for them to be seen by Trigr 2.

do you create a separate track and route to original snare track or do you just put the plug in on the original snare track

Hello Ben! Referencing your triggers being activated by bleed from Toms into your snare. I would assume running it into something like Izotope RX to clear it out before running it into Slate would fix the trigger sloppiness??

Program your midi drums w/ SS2, route bus, then print the midi drum track to new said bus track. Export sample as a wave file. You just created a drum sample from SS2 to import into trigger2. 🤷♂️

So much bloat. Should be a 15 minute video... Focus on the plugin only and nothing else.

Arghh! I can't listen to this any more. I'm sure the information is valuable, but Ben, please: Formulate your sentences before they leave your mouth. "Précis" is the key. I didn't hear a single grammatically coherent phrase up until the point I had to bail out. Just a flood of disconnected thoughts and unfinished sentences. Eight minutes in and anything you were trying to say could have been covered in less than two minutes. I get it - you're a nervous guy. I'll still give you a Thumbs Up, though. Take a breath, redo, and I'll come back to hear you out. Sorry, dude.
