Just watched this movie on Amazon Prime, great movie took me back to my childhood. Heather O'Rourke (Carol-Ann) was amazing in all 3 movies, so sad she passed away so young at just 12 years old 💔 gone far too soon 🙏. She was a very talented little actress!

She wasn't really surrounded by evil. She was a character in a movie that was about ghosts. I am sure she knew that before accepting the role. She didn't have to act in it

@Josh Johnston Spielberg has a father-daughter relationship with Drew Barrymore to this day - both ther families are very close - he even appeared on her surprise birthday show last year and you could see the affection they both share for each other! shame we live in such a pessimistic suspicious world where an "adult" and a "child" cannot have a genuine friendship! without people screaming the "p" word

@@BoxingFightsByGaryWilson Wasn’t Spielberg shooting ET at the time?
@BoxingFightsByGaryWilson
@BoxingFightsByGaryWilson 3 жыл бұрын
@@joewhitehead3 Apparently Speilberg was contractually bound to solely direct ET, which prevented him from directing another movie on & around that period but there are conflicting reports on how he played the role of Producer on the Poltergeist set, as there was anticipation of a directors strike during the filming of Poltergeist & he basically directed the movie in order to avoid shutdown but again they are just rumours. I personally believed Speilberg was the true creative force behind Poltergeist until i read Warren Buckland's report on the subject matter, Buckland is an expert reader in film studies & film analysis & he painstakingly examined Poltergeist, comparing it with two of Hoopers films, namely Salems Lot & The Funhouse & also Speilberg's ET & Close Encounters & he was of the opinion that many of the shots used in Poltergeist, were in line with Hooper's previous efforts & that it was in fact a Tobe Hooper film.
