Random theory, 2 AM rambling, but what if the Pearls are all just called "Pearl" and not yellow pearl or blue pearl, since neither diamond ever refers to them like that. I think that maybe, Pearls can alter their appearance to change their color scheme, and are meant to shape to the color of their owner, so Eyeball, if she had a pearl, would be a Red-looking pearl. Meaning that Pearl's current hair color being pink has nothing to negate any ties with white diamond, if pearls are actually able to do this.
