Greg’s face is done so well, his one true love, the person who taught him to be who he is today, the person who inspired him died. This left him to take care of his son he knows nothing about who may have still been his dead mom. And you showed his emotions of the only family he has ever known being crushed. ( or crushing others ) you can see the guilt he feels of not finding out something was up sooner. The sadness he feels that his son felt that way. And the pain he feels that his wife and son are gone. And the relief he feels when Steven comes back is perfect. I see all of the backstory and emotions through your Greg drawings. Wow. This is incredibly accurate! The biggest differences are that the Diamonds, Spinel, Bismuth, Lapis, and Peridot aren't there, not everyone is hugging Steven, and Kaiju Steven is smaller than his real Kaiju size in the show (he was big enough that Connie could walk a few steps on his nose to kiss his face). But you totally called it! I was rooting for this to happen in the show ever since I saw this animatic. Now, Connies' and Steven's arcs have come full-circle: he healed her with a (indirect) kiss, and gave her confidence, now she healed him with a kiss and stabilized him emotionally. My fave couple! ❤
