We all make memes about it but, in all seriousness, Spinel's abandonment really isn't something to be laughed at. She didn't deserve to be left behind and discarded like she was nothing but a broken children's toy or a torn stuffed animal. Spinel was made to be Pink's playmate, not her plaything. She still has feelings like any other gem. I know that Pink just wanted to get away from everything she was going through, but lying to your best friend and leaving her behind to wait for you to come back isn't the way to do it, even if the relationship was one-sided. What she did was inexcusable, and NO ONE should EVER follow her example. Covers like this really reminds us of that. 😢
@sarmeister16994 жыл бұрын
I wonder how Rose would reacted if she had to meet Spinel before giving up her form to Steven. Remembering in her final months of the Gem she purposely left behind. I wonder what she would have done if forced to confront what she did directly without any help or prodding from anyone else. Cause this is the one action that Rose did that was entirely her own, no one else's was there to influence her decision.

What I see listening to this cover: Mom standing with her young son in a garden maze. She tells the young boy about 3-5 to sit in the maze until she comes back and stay quiet. The boy stay in the same place because he’s a good boy despite it turning night and day until he’s found by chance by some workers of the maze shocked at how dirty the boy looks from living in the garden for about 3 days. Finally start to realize how dysfunctional his family was and how messed his life is in general being bounced from home to home before just as he starts to feel a connection to the folks who takes him in who didn’t ‘care’ for him. The boy runs away from his newest home to look for his mom and learns she abandon him to start a new family and life filled with new friends but not before passing away and having a ‘better’ son. Just as he blames himself for only watching his mom drift away a montage of the boy with a hurt expression growing worse as he ages until it gets to him now older and wiser bursting out into a full sobbing fit after staying so strong and quiet for so many years like a ‘good’ boy. Thank you for reading my comment. I take the payment of your tears in the form of liking this comment.
