Steven Universe Theory: White Diamond is CORRUPTED

Out of the four diamonds in the Great Diamond Authority, White Diamond is the only one we have yet to hear about, making many people question her absence in the show thus far. But there may be a reason for a lack of appearances from this mysterious character.
As the video states, White Diamond may in fact be corrupted! But there is much more I discuss than that. I give answers to the question of White Diamond's role, and if she was the leader of the Diamond Authority. To see the conclusions I make, watch the full video!

Khameleon 8 amethyst's back story was on the run , also I believe that pearl was just an average pearl, since she is white with a pink diamond on her space suit, witch I believe is her out fit before she became a crystal gem. she probably belonged to rose, since rose was in pink diamonds group or whatever its called. rose was probably higher up in value on homeworld, giving her a "fancy one" .

The diamond placement of each of the Diamonds could correspond with their age. Pink Diamond is assumed to be a younger diamond so she mostly follows what her gut tells her hence the reason her diamond is located there. Next, Blue and Yellow Diamond are perceived to be older and they think using their "hearts" and strongest emotion, thus their diamonds are on their chests. Blue Diamond is deeply saddened so she acts and leads in order to seek justice for Pink Diamond. The same is true for Yellow Diamond but, instead of the sadness she has anger and seeks revenge. These two both act according to their feelings and do not hide them well. Lastly, White Diamond's diamond is located on her head (or brain). Assuming White Diamond is the oldest she thinks with her head versus the other two alternatives. She may not be getting involved because she already knows how this will likely play out due to past experiences. I believe that White Diamond has experienced thinking with her head, heart, and gut; Yellow and Blue Diamond have experienced thinking with their hearts and guts; Pink Diamond has experienced thinking with her gut. Side note: Each of the Diamonds' diamond is located on their body according to the hierarchy shown when the four diamonds are placed together.

Maybe the orb White Diamond is holding near her stomach (possible birth metaphor?) is a star. It is filled in with white to possibly symbolize light whereas the rest of the planets on the mural are outlines with minor details like rings and moons. The entire image could symbolize that White Diamond is the one who creates new diamonds from suns. OR maybe she creates them through black holes and that's what the white circle is she holds since diamonds are formed under extreme pressure.

Maybe that's how the series will end. Steven Universe spends a lot of time emphasizing the need to communicate - in fact, one could argue it's _the_ key theme of SU. If there's a diamond who's main purpose was communication, you can bet she's going to be wrapped up in ending. My guess, if this is true, is that this may tie together the corruption subplot and the homeworld aggression subplot: Steven finds a way to heal corrupted gems, and chooses to heal White Diamond. This would have a HUGE effect on homeworld/earth relations and perhaps even end the re-escalating conflicts between homeworld and earth.

With the episode revealing White, this theory looks like it might be coming true. There's something incredibly off about her; the way she talks and the way she looks just don't seem right. It's like she's trapped in her own mind, playing out scenarios where Pink returns unharmed and perfectly okay. I believe white diamond is a fusion of pink diamond, yellow diamond, and blue diamond, which explains why we have only seen yellow and blue diamond, and why fusion was forbidden. It may also explain why ruby and sapphire were going to be immediately cracked when they fused. Because blue diamond lashed out when remembering fusing with pink diamond and yellow diamond.

White diamond's mural is the only one facing us straight on. As the diamonds go from white to pink the stand in more vulnerable positions. Yellow is still facing us, but her head is turned away; Blue is completely turned away, but has her legs stuck together, or one slightly separated while the other is hidden; Pink diamond is the most vulnerable due to her being faced away with all her limbs reaching out.

As we have learned from Jungle Moon, Homeworlds strategy for colonizing planets is to set up a base on one of the planets moons and command the dropships and other gems/ships from there. Pink diamond wasn't unique by setting up her base on the moon. Here's my theory: After the whole Jungle Moon argument Pink started nagging the other diamonds about wanting a colony. Since Yellow was busy colonizing the planet we saw in that episode, White was the one to volunteer to help Pink. Pink didn't have a court, so white diamond's court was the one to build the base. White probably didn't make it Pink so that if Pink proved not to be ready and failed she could just pick up where they left off and continue on her own. White assisted Pink in commanding the construction of the structures and the final stage was about to begin when Lapis showed up on earth to terraform it, but the Gem War had gotten out of control, Pink was shattered, and extreme measures were taken to stop it (corruption bomb), rendering the planet useless because of all the monsters on the surface. Yellow diamond decided to make use of all the gems that were shattered and made the cluster. This is where Era 2 began. During the war the Diamonds were probably either on earth or near it, so their return to Homeworld must have made them realize how serious the resource crisis was getting, especially with the war just having ended. Gems were made without basic powers and Earth was mostly ignored for a while until the cluster started to emerge.

I love this theory because I feel like we need to focus on that mural and that whole episode in general since it left so many questions that are still not answered. However the only hole in this theory is how determined yellow was to destroy the earth. if White was on earth and was corrupted, would yellow really be so determined to destroy the earth and lose another diamond. When you think about it, in the episode “Jungle Moon,” there is a base almost exactly the same as the Moon Base. It was run by Yellow Diamond, and the inside of the base where she controlled everything (for example 6:34) was yellow to match her color. Although I may not think that White Diamond owned the Moon Base, it’s an interesting thing to think about :)

I have a different take on this. For the basis of my theory we need to remember one thing, and that is that in the episode "fusion cuisine" garner says that a fusion of gems must me physically and mentally balanced. We also see on many occasions garnet talking about malachite, saying how Jasper's anger could "take hold, and destroy" my theory also works of the idea that the corruption song is a fusion weapon usually between all four of the diamonds. Which is why we see the colors of the three remaining diamonds, yellow, white, and blue, in the light flash in lapis' story. This would also explain why all the gems on home world are taught to hate fusion, because the diamonds don't want regular gems having access to the thing that helps them maintain controls over home worlds subjects. What I think happened, is that once the used their fusion weapon on earth, all 3 of the diamonds were still angry and upset in the wake of their sisters death. Perhaps once they started to use heir weapon, white diamonds anger took control causing the diamonds fusion to destabilize. Which might have lead to part of the corruption song temporarily rebounding onto her, causing the bright white light we see at the end of each version of story, thus. Corrupting white diamond

My theory on the Moon Base is that it was Pink Diamonds before she was shattered and so once she was destroyed, White Diamond took it over and changed it's aesthetic to her own. I've seen some theories that pink was made on earth and the missing Russia was her exit point. I think that the moon base was for white diamond to watch over pink until she emerged. I'd like to add to the theory why Pink Diamond was taken off the emblem, but White Diamond was kept:Pink Diamond was irrefutably-destroyed by her own creations, making her a martyr to the cause. It's why the other Diamonds present grieve for her, but can't consider her part of the hierarchy anymore for the Gem Empire. They don't forget her memory, but if they continued to show Pink Diamond's symbol on the universal monarch emblem, it would be a constant reminder and "humiliation" that Pink Diamond, a mighty being, was shattered by one of her own soldiers, which then turned Rebel and formed the Crystal Gems, which is a group appalled by the Diamond Authority and by those that served under Pink Diamond especially. It's important to note that Gems under the authority of Yellow and Blue Diamond have very little knowledge or memory of the Crystal Gems, as noted when Peridot is introduced in the Alpha Kindergarten's Mutant Growth Chamber and Mainframe; she had no idea who the Crystal Gems were, suggesting that the knowledge of the group that led the Rebellion was presumed dead and on a "hush hush" basis among the Diamonds. They didn't take Pink Diamond's logo off the emblem because they wanted to forget her, but it was a coping mechanism for forgetting the Crystal Gems like a "bad memory" as well as keeping control on their own Gems. Very few incidents have been noted thus far about any other Gems trying to break free from their Diamonds, and that's because any trace of rebellion in history has been kept hidden from newly-created Gems. Only Gems, such as Bismuth, Lapis Lazuli, Jasper, the Crystal Gems and Centipeedle (I'm calling her "Jade Doe" for now) have memories of the Great Gem War (apart from the shattered Gems in the core of Earth), and while I'm not saying that the Great Gem War isn't taught to newly-made Gems, the tragedy it brought is being "weaned out" of the newer generations and eroding (no pun intended) the Gem history from Homeworld. Anything that the Diamonds can do to keep the status quo going and keep another Earth incident from occurring is their highest priority, and a very "practical" one that is being supposedly-led by Yellow Diamond. Earth hasn't been forgotten, since Yellow Diamond shows a great sense of distaste for the planet and says that she'll "take immense satisfaction from wiping it from the star maps", but she doesn't see it as a high-priority; the Cluster wasn't being monitored crucially, as we noted Peridot being sent to monitor it like an assignment for low-class soldiers, a "chore". That means that while Pink Diamond was destroyed there, there is no suspicion of the Crystal Gems in existence, and thus the legacy left behind by Pink Diamond stops at her martyring status and nothing else beyond that; a history, a lesson, to be taught.White Diamond was kept possibly by the theories supported in this video; sacrificing herself so that the Rebellion would end and all Gems left on Earth were "purged" of their former status. While White Diamond is no longer referred aloud, it's quite possible that the Diamonds still revere her for her efforts at ending the crisis on Earth. She is not technically "dead", as she wasn't shattered, only corrupted, so her "living, static" state keeps her in the monarch's emblem. Her gemstone, if that is her gemstone from the Puzzle Structure, looks relatively new and clean, bereft of any alternate coloring that gems might get when they become Corrupted; this suggests that she was receded in the blast and has kept herself in stasis to prevent any corruption of the blast from spreading in contrast to Jade "Centipeedle" Doe. Since we've already had a visitation to the Bubble Room before, I'm anticipating another sequence where *Pearl* might visit the room and have a trip down memory lane, if that really is White Diamond bubbled. We'll have to wait and see!

i have a theory that the Pearl (like from the crystal gems) belongs to white diamond since she had the gem on her forehead like White Diamond does so she doesnt belong to any of the other diamonds Also since the fact that each pearl is the same skin tone as their diamond ex. Blue pearl is Blue Diamond's, so Pearl with gem on forehead belongs to white diamond This is just a theory so no hate please

The three non-pink diamonds all seem to represent different unhealthy ways of coping with loss. Yellow Diamond represses her feelings. Blue Diamond drowns in her grief. What if White Diamond's unhealthy coping mechanism was to be self-destructive? She corrupted herself and the whole planet, martyring herself, because she thought she deserved it for letting Pink Diamond get shattered. She's got the most planets, and I would posit that she's the oldest, so she would certainly feel the most responsibility for all of the other diamonds, especially a younger and more inexperienced diamond like Pink Diamond. I think White Diamond corrupting herself was an act of self-destruction, as a way to express her grief.

Also consider this the blue and yellow pearls had their gem placement on their chests like the Diamonds they belong to ... and where is our pearls gem placement? and what colour does it look like? Also consider the hair Yellows hair is very forward pointing as is her pearl's, same applys to the Blue Duo, and out pearl's hair seem to be one big point, where White diamonds hair (as we can tell) is very pointy.

I think that pearl was only used for the fusion of all the diamonds,which would be called Paragon.Such a large amount of power combined into a single being can't be simply called "Green diamond but a more piercing name.Pearls space suit includes yellow,blue and pink and her skin tone was white. So whenever they needed to fuse,pearl would be their personal pearl. This also ties in why she values rose so much.The diamonds most likely don't fuse that often so when they aren't fused she is basically useless,making her feel miserable.But because rose made her feel actually important and needed she valued her love more. I don't know. I think White diamond hasn't been introduced yet in the same way that Blue and Yellow weren't mentioned for a long time. She is the leader of the Diamonds, she is the biggest of the big bads. Plus, her colour is still present in the diamond logos.

It's interesting to imagine white diamond's role and why she hasn't been mentioned yet. Only time (I.e. new episodes) will tell. One thing that bothers me is that since pink had only one colony, wouldn't that mean she was a "new" or young diamond? are diamonds created like other gems? how much resources would that take? is that why homeworld is low on resources? just a thought.

If you notice, the placement of the actual gem on the being can associate their place in authority. Blue diamond and blue pearl both have the same gem placement, indicating that they are both fairly close in authority placement. So maybe Rose was a high authority figure in the Pink Diamond Earth colony,also indicating how Rose ended up on Earth. Pearl could've been White diamond or Diamonds assigned Pearl, If White diamond was there to fire her light cannon and was corrupted or shattered soon after on Earth. That could explain why Pearl ended up on Earth as well.

Another theory kind of connecting to this is about Pearl herself. If you pay attention all of the diamond's pearls have the same color and gem in the same spot as their leaders. No one really knows who Pearl's leader was (excluding Rose). If you think, Pearl's color and gem position also match White Diamond's and she also seems to know quite a bit about her.

If the moonbase is White Diamond's then that could mean that because Pink Diamond was new to the colonization of planets, white diamond was tasked with watching over Pink's process and thus saw fit to station herself on the moon.

The building you were refearing as the Ziggurat to was an inverted pyramid. A ziggurat historically is a structure built of many levels, with each one smaller than the one below it, with ramps for access. I don't think we've seen one yet on the show.

The problem with this theory is that Peridot herself says (when finding corrupted gems) that "we do not have anything like this on homeworld" she does not know what a corrupted gem is and has never seen or heard of one despite having been to homeworld many times. If someone like a diamond became corrupted and kept a secret, the gems who served her would still know that at least she was gone, and so would Peridot, however this is not mentioned whatsoever. I personally think that we will be seeing white diamond in season 5 as they will most likely be going to homeworld as it is the last place they can go.

Three theories relating to this: 1. White Diamond is fine and that she just hasn't been mentioned yet because we have yet to see any gems under her rule or any relavant sitations where talking about her matters. You also never hear any gems constantly talking about any other gems (take Bismuth for example) so it's hard to say that any gem not mentioned is corrupted. 2. The mural seemingly depicts the order in which the diamonds were "born" or came to power leading the gems. If so, White Diamond was the first and reigned the longest because of the numerous number of planets and extra extravagant designs she has on her mural piece. Perhaps she needed a military commander and somehow Yellow Diamond came to be. White Diamond might have also wanted to balance out Yellow's militaristic personality with a diplomatic one and thus Blue Diamond came to be (I checked the Wiki that Rebeccas Sugar confirmed blue gems are mainly diplomats). 3. As for Pink Diamond, I'm not sure what her role was exactly other than the colonization of Earth but it seemed that she was the youngest. With earth being her first assigned planet, it seems like she was almost a diamond in training. This could mean that the moon base really was created by White Diamond who might have been watching over or at least helping Pink.
