Steven Universe - You`re not perfect (Diamond comic)

Finaaally I finished this comic :3
I know I should have worked on the "After all" Animation but I wanted to draw this comic for a long time now.
It`s a bit of a theory of the Diamonds, just a little fantheory nothing more so don`t take it too seriously pls :x
I hope you like it, I`m sorry for the bad quality I tried my best but youtube seems to have a problem with my video x_x

Pink Strawberry Quartz 9xg Although I respect your opinion, my previous comment was referring to scientifically, where in general, only a diamond (or stronger, which there really isn't a lot of) can scratch or break another diamond. One could say it's "rock theory". Also, if Pink was weak, then she wouldn't be a Diamond -- she would be adulterated. Which could make sense.

Speaking of pressure i just realized something, in real life Pink Diamonds are thought to gain their color from being subjected to so much pressure, much more than a normal diamond, that they lose their structure. ok, loved it, it was great, but i just hate how everyone portrays yellow diamond as so mean to pink. like, yellow diamond might have lost her temper quite a few times but she didnt hate pink, she really missed her and wanted her back, but she knew she couldnt have her back. yellow is strict and cold but she probably held back just a little with pink, you know, she would only lose her temper when pink REALLY messed up or did something she REALLY wasn't supposed to do. i just want more people to notice that. yellow truly cared for pink and would never call her a mistake (at least not to her face)

Samantha DeGroot I genuinely don’t think Yellow would even think of Pink as a mistake, I mean Yellow herself told Steven that Pink always knew how to make her laugh which means they had a good relationship or a decent one. Yellow prolly just wanted what was best for her as you can only see what White did to those that didn’t fit in her perfect image, they all cared for her in their own ways and Yellow did eventually give in in giving Pink her own colony so maybe Yellow had a small soft spot for her not as big a soft spot as she has for Blue or as huge a soft spot as Blue had for Pink but maybe a tiny one. Though of course that doesn’t mean she’s excused from all the abuse she, Blue, and White inflicted upon Pink though.

In a way, she’s kinda like in the same boat as Steven. Yellow is pearl, sometimes distant but trying to make Steven/pink but with pink yellow is more stern. Blue is amethyst, really depressed over everything that has happened, but amethyst shows more emotion, and white is garnet, who tries to hide her emotions to be the strong leader everyone wants her to be.

Actually it does make sense. Pink Diamond's being made not perfect by White Diamond has caused that not perfectness to spread among other Gems that have come in contact with Pink Diamond and her as Rose. The Gems have evolved into more of a true life form through being in contact with Pink Diamond/Rose than they would've become if White Diamond had not created Pink Diamond that way.

Oh my goodness - I admit this was a lot better than I expected it to be; for some reason I wasn't expecting that to hit me as hard as it did! (Not meant to be anything against you specifically - just a lot of Steven universe fan content I've seen recently hasn't been as in-depth or hard-hitting as this.) The ending is amazing, whether or not it's actually canon-compliant. It says a ton about Gems and Gem society, and it's a really fascinating take on White Diamond, that being older than Blue and Yellow she can see beyond the current state of the Gem empire and see that the Gems as they are now (and were then) were missing something crucial. The idea that she, the epitome of Homeworld and Gem society, the ideal Gem, could conceive of that thought and then a plan to change and fix it and thus strengthen the Gem race as a whole is really interesting! I've seen a lot of takes on White Diamond, but I don't think I've ever seen one quite like your interpretation, and it's a really intriguing idea that I may have to play with on my own time. The moral, the last line - "Real life isn't perfect" - that hit me /so/ hard you wouldn't believe. Gem society is all about perfection and fitting in, but real life, organic life, doesn't work like that - something always has to give. Ahhhhhhhhhhh, I love this so much! Thank you!

I don't agree with this, I'm sorry but its clear in the steven universe series that yellow and blue cared for pink diamond. She was made wrong but in the song "feeling blue" Yellow clearly states that she misses her, she is hurting too. This comic reminded me of how I am in comparison to my family, and other people I know. They all have their special skill, ability, trait... And what do I have? I don't have what they have. True enough,white creates diamonds like blue and yellow and to make like her (perfections) but its different when it comes to pink because white said she and other gems aren't living beings and she though like a machines that work everything for being living things,she want to say "your not perfect" to pink just to make a huge and new way thats start to being a normal life,white thought that what was the feeling or POV when they are normal being without authority being held so she decide to create pink for a better way........see more
