Ya, i was so pleasantly surprised. Oh, but remember he's got Asian parents, so it shouldn't be that much of a stretch. Wish I could have played like that after 10 years of piano lessons. Now my 16 year old son is teaching me new songs using the "watch-a-piano on screen play the notes and memorize." Of course he's only mastered his right hand and doesn't know the notes he's playing, but I'm still impressed. Maybe us Americans have way too low of standards. Which is better I wonder?
@astor3593 Жыл бұрын
Most Asian parents expect their kids to make something out of their hobbies. For ex. I’ve been playing piano since I was 6, it would be kinda bad if I couldn’t play smoothly lmao. Would say it’s both a good and bad thing because parents are very supportive of helping their kids grow talent, but it can be a ton of pressure
@blankness8 Жыл бұрын
@@cmoloney9647 There's nothing wrong with learning a different way, even if he never learns how to read notes. A lot of Asians are classically trained in piano and/or violin but most of us will never use it past high school age. Create a skit where a father reminisces about his past and comparing himself to his son, emphasizing how challenging and different life was back in his day. He explains the difficulties he faced, making the hardship and struggle sound really difficult and hard. However, as he recounts his experiences, the reality unfolds in a comedic contrast, revealing that the actual events were surprisingly straightforward and simple. The way it shows it contrasted to the way he says it with dramatic storytelling and the ease of what actually occurred creates a humorous effect. Ps. That "OOOH- ..DAILY starbucks!?" made me slap my knee laughing. Steven, you got solid jokes. The messed up subtitles had me slumped to the side laughing. My skit idea is teen-Steven getting driving lessons from his dad (just constant criticism and jokes). May have to shoot from two angles. Parallel parking is going to be interesting.

Skit idea: Steven and his dad go to a restaraunt together but steven drives, getting emotional damage from his dad along the way. At the restaraunt, they order Beijing corn. The waiter is uncle roger (dad of steven's brother) and uncle roger tells them that timmy owns the restaraunt and he hired gordon ramsay. Hope you like this or take some of my ideas! Love your vids, so funny!!!!

The kidnapping victim with the credit card is fantastic. Maybe Steven and his father have accidentally hit upon a new family business.

All the comments in video 0:03 The Boat - 'Why Asians don't get kidnapped' 1:57 OverStrive - A dream where a duck bonks you with a stick if you play the piano wrong 2:52 The Crazier Diamondz - Gaming Sketches: One about character creation and how weird the can get. I love to see what you could do with that. Or maybe about Chinese game knock offs of like team fortress two or Minecraft. 3:48 Elrik Stronginthearm - I actually like your movie-set-sketches the most, sadly i don't know a lot about film-making, so the best i can suggest is this: When actors in movies are constantly drowned out by action so you can't understand a word they're saying Extras: 5:28 Bloopers/Ending

Idea: Steven’s dad as therapist, reading from a pre-written script, and completing twisting the words 🤣🤣🤣
@bretterry8356 Жыл бұрын
Dude, the subtitles showing the sound effects instead of the dialog was too real. Also, "Merry Go Round of Life" on the piano, I see you too are a man of culture.

love this series! So much more possibilities now. I wonder if there has been a skit about two kids trying to one up each other on 1. what their parents put them through (e.g. study 40 hours daily, find cure for cancer at 7) 2. how much hardship their parents went through (e.g. mine chalk for allowance money, build TV out of stone and sticks) 3. how overachieve their parents are (e.g. fought in wars, invented fire, performed 300k surgeries then turn 12)

The one with the duck was absolute genius 😂 Please, do more! If I had to suggest something... A hard-boiled, über cool movie character like a sly criminal, or a genius detective, when confronting his archnemesis his mouth (or his voice?) goes bonkers and total absurdities come out... I adore your chaotic skits like the auditions for the train announcer

“When everything is on brand” A reversal skit. The guy goes to a different normal store this time but all the trauma from the knockoffs has left him remembering the ripoffs over the normal names now and HE keeps asking for the ripoffs instead to the increasing confusion of the worker who tries directing him to the normal brands he thinks he’s referring to

two restraunts competeing but the ingredients get progressively worse to save money with the end being something like drilling into the ground for actual oil to save money to use for cooking.
