Worked in dorm maintenance for the college I attended. Got a slip on a overflowing toilet….. usually and mess but this one was clean. Flush and blasting overflow. Well I run the snake like you just used and it bit down…pulled out a big peeled onion! Had to laugh on that one.

I can remember when bleach block holder that clipped to the side rim of the toilets in the Uk, use to get stuck in the outlet causing a one way valve effect, you would clear it and a few week later it would block again, took the arm down the pan to remove them and sometimes you had to take the pan out to remove lovely job.

I had that happen. The babysitter accidentally dropped it into the toilet while it was being flushed, so goes the story. The roller was made of wood and got wedged in the bend. Wasn't lucky enough to snake it out. Ended up removing the toilet from the flange, flipped it over and able to reach the roller from there. Just what I wanted to do when I walked in the door from work.

Dishwashing soap put some in the bowl and let it sit for 15 minutes it will lubracate around the blockage
