I just bought the walnut version and took it to the range on Friday. I had visually bore-sighted the rig the day before and was on paper with the first shot at 50 yds. Just to check I shot another with the same POA and drilled the first one! After two quick adjustments and two more shots I was in the 1" circle. I switched to a splatter target and put 3 in the heart and 3 in the forehead. Wow! Just for fun I tossed one at 100 yds and it was 1.25" high (exactly where my ballistics calculator predicted). Can't wait to zero it at 100 yds on Tuesday. What an incredibly accurate rifle!!

About the Winchester 100 .308. I just returned from the range with one. It shot 2.4" at 100 yards with a cold barrel and 180 grain core-lokt. At 200 the group opened to 7". With extensive, and I mean extensive testing, tuning and shooting 4 different model 100's that's pretty decent for those rifles. They are an attractive, sleek looking traditional rifle that shoot decent for the era they were manufactured. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

@michaelfregoe5875 I love my model 100. I inherited it from my dad years ago. It eats 150 grain Hornady sst's. 1"- 1 1/2" at 100 yards. For a rile made in 1962, it still impresses me. Be blessed 🙌

From all initial reports I have read, it seems these rifles really shoot. So impressive. Not just "for the money" either. Looks like you won the wood lottery with that one though. On a side note: the wood stock version of the 334 has a better running bolt from what I have heard so far. It has a stainless steel bolt, but for whatever reason the synthetic stock version has a bolt with a black coating that doesn't run as smooth, apparently. I know the 334 is just a rebadged Turkish ATA Arms Turqua, but I don't know why Savage would allow two different bolt finishes in what is virtually the same rifle. Regardless, it seems the wood stock version is the way to go. Anyway, great video as always, Adam! I'll be looking forward to the many videos on this one to come!

I now have 3 of these: 2 Stevens 334s in .308 and 6.5cm and an ATA in .308 with a 18.5” barrel. All shoot sub-MOA groups with factory ammo - the .308 shoots 5/8” groups with Normal 150gr, the 6.5cm shoots sub-1/2” groups with Fed Berger Hybrids and Win Match, and the ATA .308 shoots .3” groups with Fed Premium Match ammo. For the money, these are great rifles. However, the triggers on the Stevens 334s hav been modified by Savage and cannot be adjusted like the ATA trigger can be thru the trigger guard with a long hex wrench. I called Savage and they said “blah blah” “lawyers” basically. The Stevens factory triggers are around 6lbs and suck - but you can carefully adjust them via the screw on the trigger face - manual says not to do this because you can disable the safety if you lighten it too much (I discovered this). Best I could do was 4lbs without the safety being disabled or the firing pin dropping uncommanded. Once you find the sweet spot, they are safe and function a lot better. The ATA (from Buds) however adjusts as the factory intended and it’s now a crisp 3lbs. Regardless, these are a great value in a rifle with a beautiful wood stock. Let’s hope Savage/Stevens stop mangling the triggers in the 334 and sell them as designed by ATA.
