no way this wasn't originally going to be the BW version. They even included accessories that would fit in with greyscale, much like the BW mezkong.

I'm honestly torn between these two. Skull Island is less useful to me (get plenty of dinos and branches) but I'd argue you get more bang for your buck (3 non repeat accessories vs a plane and chains?) but I also really like the idea of this. Really, I just wish NECA would just make ONE figure. Even Tamashii didn't have the gall to release two repaints with 3/5 of the same accessories in the same month

I hope they make a mega-pack with a Kong, and all the accessories from the Skull Island variant and the Concrete Jungle variant, those would sell like hot-cakes.

I just found the Kong Skull Island Edition in the Wild (Target) last Thursday! I have Edition One already, but now I have 4 different heads, plus the Skull Island accessories. Totally worth it to me.

We need a new figure, this was reused three times but this does come with the accessories that 1933 kong should have so I have mixed feelings about this release

I have 2 og release kongs and thus kong so far, still haven't found the skull.island one yet but will be getting it once i do. As far as paint goes though the original is better, new repaint is far too shiny. Easy fix ill just give mine a light coat of matte clear acrylic but out of the box these don't look as good as the original. The snarling head sculpt though is really awsome and much like pennywise ill be buying every neca kong release mostly just to get the extra heads and accessories for photos

Neca really should have sculpted one open palm with the women in his hand for this Ultimate figure, seeing it was based on this particular version of the film.
