Yeah, they limit the amount of email notifications and it seems really off and on. If you hit the bell icon next to the subscription button on Stevo's page, it should prioritize updates for his channel on your personal page. I think on your mobile device, it will alert you via push notification when a video is updated as well.

That body of water you flew over was part of the J. Percy Priest Reservoir. It was formed by damming the Stones River. The dam (easily visible from Interstate 40) is located about 10 miles east of downtown Nashville and impounds a lake that is 42 miles long. It provides excellent boating and fishing for the Nashville area.

I got my private license at ORL in 1963 while wording for a FBO located nearer Lake Barton. I was going to Colonial HS not far from the airport. MCO was a SAC base. Orlando AFS was just North of ORL. The head of Air Sea Rescue was located there. The Naval Basic Training complex took over that location.

That water you were passing over is Percy Priest Lake! It's a reservoir built back in the 60s when they put a dam in over near the Hermitage area. There's supposedly a small city that was torn down and covered by the lake! I ride my bike on the greenways over near the dam a lot. Beautiful area.

Yo Steveo...You just missed another bird off your port wing that looked like it was about 30 feet away at 7:46/7:47. It looks like a buzzard. I had a buzzard knock me and a student out of the air years ago when it came thru the prop and broke out the wind shield in a Cessna 150. We had just taken off and neither of us saw it until it was in the plane with us...what a mess. Fly safe and bring us retired pilots more videos please.

You mentioned “no reason to go fast away from the airport”. When an airport is doing approaches to parallel runways, there are “turn-on points” where ATC has to ensure aircraft join the final approach course no closer than these tick marks on their radar scopes. They vary by facility, but ensure you and the aircraft turning onto the parallel runway maintain IFR separation until you’re both established on your respective final approach courses. In these instances, the faster you get out there, the faster you can get turned back in toward the airport!

21:53 what you're seeing off to the 10 O'clock position is J Percy Priest lake. Visible in that shot is "interstate" 840, a 75 mile long parkway which connects I-40 to I-40 via I-24 and I-65. The river closest to you is the stones river, which was dammed to make Percy Priest lake. The spillway feeds directly to the Cumberland river. My house is roughly 4NM southeast of BNA, along the approach corridor for rwy 31. What you're actually seeing at 23:37 is Old Hickory lake. It does wind around like a river though, very narrow. Edit: You filmed this a long time ago. The runway you landed on has been under construction for several months now. The road you crossed over during the taxi was Donelson pike.

Welcome to BNA, Steveo, just 72.4 NM air miles from here near 1M9. Those two bodies of water east of BNA were Percy Priest and Old Hickory lakes. Surprised you didn’t select unique, exec. JWN as your destination located on a bend in the Cumberland, but under the WX you had, BNA was the better choice. Fly west of JWN, then NW, you’re over 110 mile long KY Lake and 80 mile long Lake Barkley headed to Paducah. There’s always a next time. Nice cloud shots. Look BNA up in XP > WED, think you’ll find my name in there somewhere, lol. Thanks for sharing.
