Great reaction :P I really appreciate how this band plays around with different music genre conventions and melds them together in unexpected ways. I'm excited to hear the entire album. The other new song off this album that was just released is Fukboi - and, again, presents something really different musically! (Josh writes the lyrics but, as I understand from interviews and social media posts, the band works on the music together these days)

That reaction was rich ! One of my favorites so far......So much to absorb and had to listen twice right away to hear more of what you were talking about.....wish I were more of a musician so I could really understand you but I love what you said......especially what you said about the lyrics because of how the music "wrapped" around them, as you said.....the two really can't be separated. I actually looked at the words before I watched this (which I don't do normally) and the music is definitely what does them justice....really amazing. And you're NEVER getting too deep.....please keep sharing those thoughts! I'm obviously just one of many that love them....

They have some really great stuff. The first album they put out touches on a lot of heavy subjects, always a lot to digest with badflower.

You need to watch the video now because the exact time you said, 'it sounds like Nirvana' they were dressed like Nirvana. No lie! The vocal and guitar changes you heard, like Djent...are on purpose. You will understand more when you watch the video... P.S. You should start at the beginning and listen to some earlier tracks. I suggest videos as they do a great job story telling. Try Ghost to start, then Heroin, The Jester, 30, F*ck the World...
