I hit 9 years clean from a 15 year opiate / heroin addiction in just a couple weeks on 5/27/24. I got on a bus from my hometown of Jacksonville Florida to central Ohio where I only knew one person, which was a cousin I hadn’t seen in 20 years. I have been clean since that day. I was able to do it cold turkey. 3 months later I met my now wife. 2 years and 5 days after moving here, we bought our first house. I forgot to mention, when I got on that bus from Jacksonville, I woke up that morning in my tent that I had be living in for 2 years. There is more to the story, but that’s the basic idea

@@VegasKlNGz here in a bit, I will try to find the time to fill in more of the blanks. But to answer your question. I honestly didn’t care, but the last 3 years, the preferred was heroin. Started with Lortab, Vicodin, and Percocet (I broke my ankle and had to have surgery in 2000 and those were the 3 they gave me immediately) but I will tell my story every chance I get and my wife used to ask me why I told everyone. My answer was always the same “you never know who you are talking to” basically, you never know what that person is going through or if my story might be what they need to hear to get out of addiction. I had no money for rehab. I just had a bus ticket and a duffel bag of clothes when I moved.

I joke with my gf all the time that aliens came to Earth and took the old situation and replaced it with this good version of himself lol. But in all seriousness, Im glad he turned his life around and seems like a genuine great dude. Keep going Mike!

Things are really strange. I was asking my mom if she’s ever watched the situation completely bomb on the roast of Trump….then this shows up on my KZbin. My phone listens to everything I say.

On a real note, this was great now that I've finished it. I live at the Jersey Shore and have been a fan since the beginning, and I could confidently say that Mike was my least favorite in the beginning. He has not only did a complete 180 in his life but in the eyes of his fans; he's my favorite now. Literally went from worst to first for me, and I'm sure my opinion mirrors a lot of others that tune in on Jerzday.

I really hate myself for honestly being a lil jealous when he was talking about how much he spent/took lol I guess that's just the addict in me. With a tolerance THAT damn high I bet his withdrawals were next level brutal.

@@trevorwhatever2050 lmao, trust me I know brother. The opana withdrawal for me was one of the worst I ever experienced even worse than any food I ever got. Still don’t really feel bad for being “jealous” in a sense lol. But it FOR SURE would’ve been a fun fucking ride damnit boi!!

I'm happy to see people come out the other side. It doesn't happen often. I've been clean for 10 years and 4 months. Thank God I got through it myself. Was life and death for a little while. The devil loss.

The days where you could get Roxy’s for 5-10 for a 15 and 10-15 for a 30 were some good times.

When i clicked on this video, i immediately recalled Steve O saying that Mike snubbed him at an awards show. Steve O said in the first few seconds this was going to be about accountability and i thought "It aint real unless they address the awards show" And IMMEDIATELY it was addressed. It just adds another level of respect for Steve O, Mike, their sobriety and dedication to being accountable! Much respect!!!
