I started experimenting selling toys a few months ago and LOVE it. It's a fantastic high to source an item for roughly $.15, then have it sell for $20. I'm totally hooked . Also I have a small apartment so it's great to be able to fill up my Mercari and eBay store with so many items without taking up a lot of storage space. I buy mostly GW bags of toys but have struggled with sorting them once I take the "good ones" out. It can be overwhelming at times to have so many little unknown pieces 🙂. I like the tip of parsing out by brand/toy family and THEN listing them by lot. Thanks for the interesting content, keep up the good work. Looking forward to more toy videos🙂.

I was the same way with your friend. I would just go into Goodwill and scan the video games and nothing else. I got frustrated of finding nothing and started looking around the store. Realized there was a gold mine in the toy section and I went to work. My first find was a loose Amiibo set of Samus and Metroid. I knew what they were because I bought one for brand new for $30, I still have it. I paid $2 for the set and sold it for $40 plus shipping on eBay. Since then, I've found hundreds of dollars of toys. You can start by selling toys of cartoons or tv shows you like and move on from there. There's also a Facebook group that helps identify which toys are which.

I 100000% recommend this if you are wanting to get into the niche of toys. It equips you to go out and face the sales! Now I’m off to do my own research and work on the knowledge I’ve been given. I have recently gotten into toys, because the ROI can be so profitable. I especially seek out Legos. Yesterday, I found a Playmobil kit, huge box, with parts still inside original sealed bags for $8.00. They are going for around 50 to $100 on Ebay. I found some cool little vintage Lesney Matchbox cars in a bag for $3.00. Some of the cars inside go for $10 to $20 each on Ebay. I am new to the toys, so I still have a lot to learn about what to look for without spending hours looking up everything on my phone. I need to find some KZbin channels with resellers who can give bolo lists to focus on. The thing is, these big thrift store chains get so many toys, there is bound to be something good you will find.

I am already picturing myself surrounded by bags of toys looking up little cars into the wee hours of the night... best way to learn... I buy just about everything for the learning experience but haven’t ventured into toys yet outside of games and puzzles... my mountain of broken electronics has kept me from buying more... small, easy to store items are very appealing right now (and everyone is getting mad when my electronics hauls take over the living room)
@Raikenprofit5 жыл бұрын
🤣 learning through experience is the best! Toys are great because they are small(and hopefully won't take up your whole living room!) And usually easy to store as well. I hope you have fun learning a new niche!
@onyxmystique96805 жыл бұрын
Raiken Profit Oh, yeah... every bag or toy I’ve gotten has had enough profit to make it worth it money and time wise... it does take a lot of time to research so I’m slowly building my listings because profits are lower unless you do lots and I’m not get enough to do any lots yet... if I find more if the same, I can relist with the new ones added... people ignore toys so they are easy to find, especially at garage sales
@almightybinx57105 жыл бұрын
Hey Steve, I’m a toy seller too, but I’m selling my massive Masters of the Universe collection. Not at all knowledgeable about many other toys though. I was wondering about how he ships his toys. That bin of his sales had a lot of small boxes that I’m guessing weigh less than a pound and ship first class. Does he eat the shipping cost or does he do calculated shipping for the buyer based on where they live? I only do free shipping if my sale is $50+. Really liking these types of videos! 👍
@evanmiller77955 жыл бұрын
Almighty Binx I’m also a toy seller. If it is under 1 lb, i just do free shipping and factor in the shipping cost. There might be a small difference in shipping cost depending on where it is sent (a matter of cents) but when you do free shipping, it makes it more aesthetically pleasing to buyer so I think the trade off is worth it. Also, most of my toys are under 1 pound (I tend to seek out lower weight items for these reasons)

I love toy bags! I grabbed one for Thomas trains and ended up with only 1 Thomas and a bunch I had never heard of.....Chuggington. (Store was closing and I grabbed it and didn’t look at it.) Those came way after my son’s time. I sold the 25 in that bag for $60 plus shipping. I paid either 2.99 or 3.99 for the bag. A big thrift store but local, not a chain. I also learned about Special Agent Oso from random figurines in a bag that I didn’t buy it for....sold 3 figurines for $30 plus shipping. It’s addictive; kind of like gambling. Lol.

@thedeafgenius5 жыл бұрын
@@gbertarelli I just do it to do it. I don't give a shit about those boxes. They are junk toys. Theres only two other options you can do is throw them out or donate them. Do what you want to do. You want to waste 15 mins dropping them off or spend the same amount of time putting it up on ebay to get your feedback up. You can also take 2 minutes and throw them out and be done with it. Its a personal choice and they don't go for more than $5 with shipping. It depends on your situation. No one on youtube can really tell you what to do. This is all a learning curve that you have to learn for yourself. If I had a flea market booth on the weekends, I would take those junk toys and throw them in a bin for .25 cents each. Again it comes down to your situation and your personal preference. If you want my professional opinion, THROW THEM OUT OR DONATE THEM.
