Very cool to see something come back to life! Diesels are a little more intimidating because of the noise and the chance of having one runaway on you... yup, it'll run to your neighbour if you don't treat it right!

When we had the ice storm of 95 I think it was everyone bought generators. Even I did. Just a small gas job. Never used it for three or four years. I ended up selling it for a few hundred dollars. At least someone will get use out of it. Good video I enjoyed watching. Later dude...-John

I understand most of these were made to attach straight to a clutch/transmission or a direct connect generator head. Can the bearings handle a side load to be able to hook it up to load with a pulley?
@SteveRobReviews3 жыл бұрын
Yes as so many are fitted for industrial remote air compressors and water pumps . The side load is not excessive as the multiple v belts transmit the torque quite well.

5.00 for one Gallon, that is sad. Drove by the Gas Station in Central Wisconsin this Morning. Off Road Diesel 1.59 a gallon.
@SteveRobReviews8 жыл бұрын
I know and the sad part is the gas your using more than likely came from Alberta. Fuel in Canada is taxed too much , in Europe they pay a lot more than Canadians . Cheers

STEVE ROB Love your Vids. My Girlfriend is from Alberta or Okotoks. I Live in Central Wisconsin. Right near the Green Bay Packers Area. I have been with a Canadian girl for 8 years now. I am so fortunate' that i found a Canadian girl by Accident.I did not know what i was missing. Love your cabin and land. It is just like my little acreage in Wisconsin. You just make better toys. I use old farm stuff. It works for me . But your splitter is Sweet.

Hey Steve...I got a little chuckle when that damn camera stand was fighting the hell out of you. The engine sounds pretty darn good to sitting for three years. Just curious Steve, do you guys start celebrating Thanksgiving so soon up there?
@SteveRobReviews9 жыл бұрын
Terry I have a cheap tripod I'm going to blow up when brother Tim gets here, my lord it just fights me constantly. Not sure about this thanksgiving stuff , man I love Canada but I really don't understand this weekends Holliday . Don't know what it's all about to tell you the truth, there's no pilgrims up here either. I did eat a turkey today, not much excitement. Ha
@stuzman529 жыл бұрын
Well Steve, when you're out in the boondocks, I wouldn't expect you to have much excitement, (smiling)... Holy crap Steve...I just learned something. I didn't know that it was Thanksgiving up there in Canada today, Oct 12th. I just looked it up. Down here in the old 'South', Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November of each year. This year it will be November 26th. Bet you learned something eh, Steve... Take care man and have a good one...

When I first start my Yanmar diesel after it has ran out of fuel I have to also bleed the injectors to dispel any air that's in the lines first the line to the injector pump until it gets fuel then crack the injector lines until you see fuel coming out of them when you turn over the engine. It gets kinda messy. Ebay has some new very nice generator heads you can couple to that engine to power your house if the current ever goes out. www.bing.com/images/search?q=Generator+Drive+Coupling&FORM=HDRSC2

$5 Canadian is about $6 American but our gallon is about 1 liter larger than yours so we're back to about $5 American a gallon. $44 American for a case of beer and a McDonald's Big Mac is $7 American. We get hosed big time up here :)

Big Guy - ya know I know exactly where that baby could go. Ya see, I got this modified chair, i would like to see it become diesel power'd. That's so I can run on the highway over here and wink at all of the tanned Hawaiian lady's ;) Not kidding about the lady's mind ya. But I think I'll have to settle for an old reman'd scooter motor. That motor you got there is too sweet to disgrace with such a lowly man dream . Reckon now you got to build something to put that baby in. Maybe your own Fork Lift or Tractor or even provide power your "Man-Bar 's" coolers, lighting, strobe lights and we can't forget your secret crowd gatherer, The infamous Lady's Night Strip Pole Hour. All kidding aside my friend - Great Work there! That Diesel is Right and Tight!
