You're an incredible teacher, Steve. Been binge watching several of your methods vids. I've caught a ton on swimbaits... gonna start trying more swimjigs now.

Thanks! I really appreciate you watching. Such a fun way to cover some water and catch ‘em.

My favorite bait to throw....swimjig and soft jerkbait are always with me....both are versatile and can be used top to bottom

Definitely! There was a season or two where that swim jig got 99% of the action for me. I just couldn’t put it down. So good.

@@SteveRogersOutdoors yes sir its like we talked about before confidence baits you can't put them away because you know they have always caught you fish....rather its a pond, creek a lake or river....they just catch fish...appreciate all your knowledge and underwater vids are great

Good stuff Roger, I guess I got to start using a swim jig. I’m a chatterbait man. Favorite color Chartuese/White, with white trailer, split tail 4”. Keep it coming and keep the faith 👍🥸🙏

I have local farm pond near by and one day I was playing around with different presentations with a swim jig and I started ripping it up off bottom, letting it fall back on slack line, and then ripping it up again- like stroking a jig basically- it drove the bass nuts. I caught like 6-7 bass in just a few minutes- and at this place that's saying a lot. It's very rare to catch more than 2-3 all day there. They would track it for a minute and then position themselves so that when it fell it fell right into their mouth- all you would feel was a little "pop" on the line- set the hook. I've never gotten them to bite it again- just that one day- but when you find this bite it's just one after the next- so much fun. The floating presentation Steve refers to in this vid is the one I typically use- it works the most often. But I always try stroking my swim jig first- one of these days I'll run into some more aggressive bass, hopefully.

Nice! That had to be a fun day. It's so good to have that knowledge and give it a try each time. Thank you so much for sharing this! I appreciate it.

Yes, he is so good. I especially love fishing pools 7, 8, and 9 on the Mississippi where he really honed this skill.
