DONNA SUMMER, the only woman who could sing anybody's song better than the original, seriously, including Barbara & Diana, that’s the mark of a true artist. Also worth noting is that no one has ever been able to sing Donna's song as well as she does, no matter how they try. With all that talent she is sill so underrated because the public accepted her only as a Disco Queen. Folks she was/is so much more than that. WAKE UP AND WITNESS THE TALENT, PEOPLE!!!!!!!.......THAT VOICE.

I believe the guy singing lead on My Girl is Bruce Sudano, the guy she married in 1980. I'm thinking about Bruce and his daughters Brooklyn & Amanda on this sad day when they have lost Donna. I know Donna gave her life to Jesus in 1979. I pray her family is feeling the love of the Father as they move through this and know they'll be seeing Donna again, and she'll be free of cancer and all pain forever when they do.

Jenifer Hudson sang Last Dance, Cristina was a no show. Jenifer did not do her justice and I 'm sorry to say this but NO ONE can sing a Donna Summer song near as well as Donna. Also, the film clip they used to induct her only promoted her disco era success. DONNA SUMMER was a lot more than a disco artist, the RHOF should have picked up on that & used excerpts from the performance posted here. Sloppy research on their part.

Yes they were. This clip was from the Winter of 1979, they were married in July of 1980.

I had no idea that Donna could do that? It just makes her that much more amazing to me. She has so much variety and all she is using is her voice without all that vocal acrobatics. Love her!!!!

This is the best ! First you can tell that they are all having a blast performing these classics, and you can also tell how much in love Donna and (a very glam looking) Bruce Sudano are in. They were married about 1 year after this was done, and here it is 2010, and they are still married ! Donna's take on Maybe is as good as it gets !

Summer and her longtime vocal accompanists here, Brooklyn Dreams, do a fabulous job recreating the sounds of doo-wop, gospel, and Motown in this clip. And the music business yesterday certainly lost one of its greatest talents! My condolences to Miss Summers' family, and may her music continue to entertain us all.

But my fellow Bostonian demonstrates in this clip she could really sing so much more, and by looks and sound could well have played Martha Reeves, if ever a story of Martha & The Vandellas were filmed. Yet Summer could also hit those amazingly high notes of the 14 year-old Arlene Smith singing "Maybe" in The Chantels, then turn around and belt out a gospel rendition of "I Heard It Throught The Grapevine," remarkably similar to the original version by Glays Knight with her Pips.

How Donna Summer isn't already in the Rock and Roll Hall of fame truly escapes me! Thanks so much for this post. I don't know who they are going to sing her songs when she is inducted later this year, I only pray they find someone to do her the justice she so rightly deserves. There truly was no genre she couldn't sing. I miss her still everyday.
